Two former Daleys off to France

There will be two former Dale players playing in this Summer's Euro 2016 competition after the announcement of the international squads this week.

If you're looking at a Dale angle for the tournament, then there is a couple of former Dale goalkeepers who'll be spending some time the other side of the English channel.

Former loanee Tom Heaton has been called up to play for England. The Burnley stopper had a loan spell at Spotland during the 2009-10 promotion season whilst on the books of Manchester United. He recently made his England debut with a late appearance off the bench against Australia.

Another former Dale goalkeeper off to Euro 2016 is Owain Fon Williams. He played 22 games for the club whilst on a short term deal. He has been a member of the Welsh squad for a number of years now but had to wait six years before making his debut.
