LFW Pub Guide - O'Neills

O'Neills is a sound place with food and live sport on offer. It is however the definitive pub for away fans now and while that's fine for most of the season it's worth steering clear of when the likes of Leeds United are in town.

Reviewer - Brightonhooper and Charlie1

Name of pub -O'Neills

Location - Corner of Goldhawk Road and Shepherds Bush Green.

Size -Decent size.

Selection of beers - Usual - good Guinness.

Price of drinks - Unknown

How full does it get on a matchday? Very full.

Fitness of bar staff -errm, yes actually! Plenty of bar staff, some quite fit, but don't tend to speak much English. Pointing is the way forward.

How long does it take to walk to the ground from there? Just under 10 min walk to the ground (dependant on pace). Away fans may take longer especially if escorted by police.

Sky Sports? - Yes, big screen, TV's galore..

Suitable for away fans? Too friendly - don't get wrapped up in the police escort for Leeds fans.

Suitable for families and kids? Fine. (ed - except for the high profile troublesome opponents, Leeds, Cardiff, Stoke - usual lot)

What's the smoking situation? Outside on pavement.

Beer garden - No.

As far as pub toilets go, just how bad are these? Fine. Fine for peeing but the number twos never seem to have bog roll in em and don't have locks.

Does it serve food? Yes.

If so is the food any good? Reasonably priced and good.

Trendy modern bar, traditional pub or somewhere in between? Hard to tell. Probably more of a traditional pub than a trendy bar.

In one sentence why should people visit/steer clear of this pub? Fine for a pint or two if arriving late.

Anything else to add?Tends to be used more and more by away fans these days. Also, the police tend to put away fan nutters in there so watch out.
