On Line Prediction Table Says Saints Can Still Finish 4th

After filling in an online prediction table I have renewed hope that Saints season could still end with a bang. See what you think with the link.

With 8 games to go I had thought that perhaps Saints chances of qualifying for the Champions League had gone out of the window, however after filling in an online prediction table perhaps Saints chances are not as far fetched as you would think.

When I filled it out I purely went to form ie how you would predict that the games would go, therefore i had us drawing at home with Spurs and losing at Manchester City, however in the other six games i did predict wins, it will be tough especially at Everton, but we should be capable of winning the other two home games other than Spurs as well as the games at Leicester, Sunderland and Stoke, a big ask yes, but not impossible.

For the other teams i have again gone for what seems the most probably result and with Manchester United and Liverpool having a raft of tough fixtures Saints coming in on the rails is not out of the question.

So if Saints win 5, draw 2 (Everton & Spurs) & lose 1 (Man City) that will give us a total of 70 points and although that will be far behind the 79 I have Arsenal getting in third place, it would still be a point ahead of United on 69 in 5th.

Of course this is not an exact science and we actually have to win five games to do this, but it really is not beyond the realms of possibility, we just need to have a spurt forward and in every season in every division there is usually a club that does that in the run in and looking at our fixtures we have as good a chance as any.
