London Byrne-In — Open All R’s Podcast

Former QPR and Sunderland striker John Byrne is the guest on this week’s podcast ahead of the meeting between the two sides at Loftus Road this weekend.

On his lethal partnership with fellow striker Gary Bannister, which tore into Chelsea several times during the 1980s, Byrne says: “He was a fantastic footballer, a great finisher, intelligent player. I can’t speak highly enough of him really.”

There’s also talk of the disastrous Milk Cup final, the 6-0 victory over Chelsea, his memories of Alan McDonald and his opinion of the current QPR set up and the stories at the weekend about the trip to Dubai.

Byrne is joined by host David Fraser, editor of Kick Magazine and occasional LFW contributor Ash Rose and regular panellists Paul Finney and Chris Charles.
