Edwards final appearance

Dale's on loan defender Ryan Edwards is due to make his final appearance for the club on Tuesday when Rotherham United come to Spotland for the New Years Day fixture.

Edwards has played in all but one of our fixtures since arriving at the club from Blackburn Rovers in the Summer - the FA Cup replay against Morecambe was missed through suspension.

The 19 year old came to the club on a six month loan spell after having captained Blackburn Rovers to the FA Youth Cup final last season.

Strengthening the defence is Dale manager John Coleman's top priority for the January transfer window after a run of games in which Dale have conceded eighteen goals in the past seven games.
