Refwatch Preview: Burton (h)

Andy Haines will draw level with former Spotland stalwart Colin Webster when he takes charge of Dale’s game with Burton on Saturday.

This will be his 15th visit since he joined the league list in 2007 and his fourth in the last 13 months.

Indeed, he could easily pass Webster’s Spotland appearance record as the County Durham whistler is no longer on the league list having retired in May.

Mr Haines was here in pre-season for the friendly match against Hull, while his last senior game at Spotland was the JPT tie against Preston ten months ago.

Andy was also the referee for the memorable promotion-clinching game against Northampton in April 2010, as well as last season’s home fixture game with Huddersfield.

Andy’s full list of Dale games is:

22 Sep 07 Macclesfield (h), D 1-1

16 Jan 08 Chesterfield (a), W 4-3

1 Apr 08 Bradford (h), W 2-1

20 Sep 08 Chesterfield (h), W 2-1

11 Apr 09 Port Vale (h), W 1-0

18 Jul 09 Everton (h, friendly), L 1-4

18 Aug 09 Cheltenham (h), L 0-1

17 Apr 10 Northampton (h), W 1-0

24 Jul 10 Bolton (h, friendly), D 1-1

9 Oct 10 Yeovil (h), L 0-1

15 Jan 11 Leyton Orient (h), D 1-1

19 Jul 11 Leeds (h, friendly), L 0-1

13 Aug 11 Huddersfield (h), D 2-2

8 Nov 11 Preston (h, JPT), D 1-1 (lost on pens)

So far this season Andy has refereed two, showing six yellow cards and no red.
