Striker Jamie Moralee was one of the many Mick Wadsworth signings that had a short-lived spell at Layer Road, spending just one season with U's, scoring two goals in 29 appearances.
When he was released by Steve Whitton in 2000, he joined League of Wales side Barry Town, where he spent three seasons, each year being a league title winner. He also made five appearances for them in the 2001-02 and 2002-03 Champions League qualifiers.
After leaving Barry, he started the 2003-04 season at Conference side Forest Green Rovers and the same season was loaned to Newport County, who he later joined permanently. In 2005 he returned to Essex and played for Chelmsford City for a season.
After retiring from football he has set up a number of companies under the New Era brand, managing sportsman, their wealth and investments. This includes being the agent for Premier League footballers Rio Ferdinand, his brother Anton, Jermaine Jenas, and former U's defender George Elokobi!
