Wiseman and Done off to Barnsley
Former Dale boss Keith Hill has returned to Spotland to secure the services of Scott Wiseman and Matt Done.
In a move that has divided supporters, Wiseman and Done - two of the star performers from last season - have both followed their former gaffer's path to Oakwell and signed for Barnsley.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the two is the sale of Matt Done. It is only a few weeks since he signed a new twelve month contract at Spotland after a year at Spotland where it was only in the latter stages where he fully established himself as a first team player.
Certainly, it was no surprise that Wiseman would attract a host of suitors after a string of fine quality performances last season that seemed to improve as the season went on.
Dale Chairman Chris Dunphy admitted that Dale had received a very good deal and it is believed that the fee heading our way could hit as much as a quarter of a million pounds for the duo who both arrived at Spotland on free transfers.
