Colin Bell was very good , he almost signed for us but at the last minute chose City . To the best of my knowledge we didn't almost sign Marco Tardelli , he of one the greatest goal celebrations ever ! |

Without question Alan Ball . As a young un I worshipped him . Over the summer of 1966 I went from the highs of England winning the World Cup with my hero starring to absolute despair as a few weeks later he was transferred to Everton . What a player he was !! |

The player took a private flight to say good bye to his ex work colleagues . What on earth has that to do with either clubs insurance ? If you or I go on a flight or on holiday you pay for your own insurance , it's nothing to do with your work is it . |

There were plenty of incidents when we didn't get the rub of the green , but the one that I recall really cost us was late in the season at Rovers . We're 2-1 up , added on time, and GTF is by their corner flag holding the ball up, and gets totally wiped out . No foul . Unbelievable Jeff . He chases down in frustration and foul given . The ball is launched into our box Kingson flaps , and its 2-2 . I don't know who the ref was but he cost us big time . |
