we were the better team in a pretty bad half of footballl... typical bottom of championship match plymouth are bad- we may still lose this game but they are rly uninspiring standouts are morgan dunne and smyth (despite a few typical smyth mistakes) cant evaluate the centerhalves as they didnt need to do much thought chair and paal had bad halves.... disappointed in chair, the left side of the pitch is way too quiet |

A great option when we have a lead and want to prevent a team from creeping too far forward Might’ve missed a trick by not playing him at the end against Norwich but clearly got it right yesterday He’s had a load of near misses and think a few goals are around the corner. Certainly needs them for his confidence |

The benefit of our league position is that we don’t need to make short term expensive loan signings in jan window to get us through to the end of the year- like Isaac Hayden last year. Obviously we signed Edwards but that was 6 points ago (that might turn out to be a wasted signing even if he is good for a few months) We can stay in the league with what we have and we’re better off saving our limited resources for next seasons push. Agreed it’s an opportunity to give playing time to kids but besides kolli and Morgan, who are in any case getting minutes, curious who else there is in the set up? Think there’s also a case to thinning the squad and loaning out players to get some wage relief and give players experience- santos edb etc |

I mean, it seems a pretty bizarre rumour Celar has been atrocious for us, barring one game. And beyond the lack of goals, he’s done so little- no hold up play, can’t run the channels, doesn’t link up particularly well It’d be one thing if the rumours linked him to a second division German team- but does anyone think that the 7th place in bundesliga would want this guy? |

Playing field at Center back means you take him out of midfield which is a huge drop off unless colback is available (from semi retirement) Worth remembering the financial constraints and that every pound we spend today is one we can’t spend tomorrow We have 3 good Center backs, one ropey back up and two guys who can also play there in dunne and field…. So people for 2 spots It prob does make sense to get someone in but all we’re trying to do is find a 4th or 5th option at Centerback |

In what universe is Southampton our rival next year? Our highest finish in the last decade was 9th. Our average league position has been 15th. And even if we are “rivals”, what is the concern? That one of the eleven southampton players is incrementally better in the two matches we’ll play them next year? If qpr don’t sign him, someone else will None of us have seen this guy play. Not sure why we’re assuming he’s going to suddenly get a starting gig at soton on the back of a few random appearances at qpr. It’s not uncommon for these prem loanees to end up flopping and playing at a lower level - look at Joe hodge now on loan in league one I’m generally not a fan of these loans but could care less abt how it helps or hurts southampton |
