Our fans are shit

Northam was okay yesterday from what I heard. Were no ultras but come on. Fans on every forum up and down the country have the same discussion debate about atmosphere being crap nowadays. We are no different. I'm as critical of our own patch as anyone but in the main our support is mid range. Not amazing but not bad despite that recent Facebook story going round saying at Mary's is crap atmosphere. Think the article was written by someone with a chip on their shoulders. Start winning a few games would help too 🤣 COYR

Saw a few negative comments towards the new setup on X etc. Always going to be a few who moan rather than support the changes.

Couldn't hear forest fans untill they scored tbh being tucked away in that corner. Which is good but as someone suggested earlier that performance was never going to be an electric atmosphere. Will take a season or so for the Northam stand to develop. Sounded great at times but will take a bit of time. Still a great effort by the club and will eventually pay off. We do need more songs but I'm sure every clubs fans say they same up and down the country. Same generic songs sang by every club up and down the country unfortunatley.

Surely the new 'fanzone' can be used to promote some new songs. Could be a good opportunity if the right people can scribble some lyrics to famous songs we all know together.

Oh and singing OWTS should be fast version not slow spursy style. When we go fast it goes on and on and on which is good. Players can feel the continual backing.

Next match. Shot on goal please saints

Was nice to hear stadium singing in all four corners. Even chapel was going at times. And this prior to getting goals or game being over. Preston were respectful for both the passing away of Joseph and the guys being stretchered out. Classy bunch.

Hate to say it but felt so much happier with McCarthy in goal. He fluffed a couple of passes but his distribution and throws out were so much better. Felt like a real no. 1 for me.

They were good but strangely when quieter when they got their goal. Thought they would keep going to force an equaliser. Maybe our players just done their job. As far as our home fans we are not the worst. Likewise no way near the best. Just need some variety and new songs. I notice cov have a good variety. But they are from a musical city. 😬

We were shite. But to put things in perspective:

We are Southampton.

No top six wannabee. (Would'NT want to be)

That's why we love them. Its our city - our home- We win - we lose.

And we've done well recently yet some nuggets boooo us.

That's why I'm saying they need to give their heads a wobble.

If we were Sunderland, Sheff weds etc etc Yes we may have something to moan about.

Saints were not great.

Ralph made a few cock ups, Smallbone. Elyonussi,

"Fans" need to give their heads a wobble over the booos. Safe after 25 games. Go back some years.

Little support from the stands to help today and against Newcastle.

(Note: this season fans have been okay in comparison to other home grounds around P.L)

Wasn't this something teenagers done 20 years ago.happy slapping. You know they always carry cameras always have. Anyway as mentioned previously hope that matey was okay. The majority of them won't condone that to a saints shirt wearing tripper. Quite frankly embarrassing for their proper lot.
