Just back, not a great day out, but never is at Reading, Warning there about a new ground in the middle of nowhere. Loftus Road feels like heaven by comparrison. Don't read too much into that performance, no Ilias, little impetus. But we do need a central mid who can drive forward and another winger. That defence has not suddenly become terrible, it is going forward we need work. |

Score should not have been 4-0 that's just silly. We had two or three very good chances, could easily have been 2-2. I actually thought 2-0 flattered Spurs, we were the better team for periods of that game. |

I'm going to miss him. There aren't many players as bizarre as Armstrong, or as theatrical and emotional. You never know what he's going to do and nor does he, which makes him exciting to watch, given that we aren't very good, that was a pleasure. That goal at Leicester and the celebration which followed were one of the best moments of the season. I understand why he's going, but it was fun while he was here and fun is in short supply in football currently. |

I'm sure he was a lovely chap and all that, but it always struck me as stodgy blues rock at its worst. Check shirt, long hair, long solo, not a great voice, no great songs, guitar playing leaden. Sorry |

Is it George Santos? Play him up front. |

I work until 1pm on a Saturday. This is my 58th season watching the R's, season ticket holder for over 30. I will be lucky to see half a dozen games this season. What am I supposed to do? |

Was there for that 5-0 Friday night drubbing in the sleet and snow. Followed by a bunch of 12 year old Essex herberts offering me out, outside the station, so don't have happy memories of Southend. But still want them to survive and thrive. Do they still have Teddy Boys hanging around the Kursaal? |

The Clash at the Coliseum Harlesden March 77. Saw them a dozen or more times but that was the best, life changing, earth shattering, a great night to be 17. London really was burning. Worst probably the great Al Green at the Royal Albert Hall. Spent the whole night handing out flowers to the Laydeez, did a lot of god bothering then did a quick medley of all those glorious songs. |

Just shows how you can have different versions of who QPR are. Gareth tried to portray us as little old QPR, underdogs, poor relatives, harking back to Ollie's fist pumping, 'this is our cave' rhetoric, with a backs to the wall, crazy gang style of play to go with it. Marti instead stresses our finest teams, our silky style, our attacking prowess, our maverick brilliance. I know which version of our story I prefer. I also know that managers this eloquent and humble, this intelligent, strong minded and yet adaptable don't come along very often. Reminds me most of Gordon Jago/Dave Sexton. |

I don't even know where Hillingdon is and would not go there. W12. W11. W10. |

You just lost your bet about working from home, I cycle to work in the west end and have done for thirty years. I said I was also a driver so pay whatever road tax is now called, and have passed my test. The numerous restrictions and regulations people ask for are impractical because of hire bikes, childrens' bikes, (shall we nick four year olds with stabilisers) occasional bikes out for a ride in the park of a summer and besides are not necessary because so few accidents and injuries are caused by bikes compared with cars. If I have an accident it is me who gets killed or maimed, not the car driver. That makes me pretty accountable to my family. The point is we all need to share the road, slow down, take care, acknowledge that the roads are for everybody including cyclists, some of whom are idiots, but most are just trying to get where they're going just like you. |

If you really think most motorists obey all the rules have a look next time you are at a junction, and see how many do not indicate, especially when turning left. That is a potential death threat to a cyclist, but it happens scores of times every day. Nowhere in the world that I know of regulates cycling in the way some on here are asking for, it simply isn't practical, and all it would do is stop people cycling, which we are trying to increase. Sorry but motorists (and I am one) have to accept that things have changed, 20 mph in London, cyclists have priority and that's how it should be. |

The vitriol on here is ridiculous. I am a cyclist, but also a driver occasionally and pedestrian, most of us are. But I know that as a cyclist I am part of the solution, not the problem. It can only be a good thing that there are more cyclists in London. So why have I been spat at by drivers, regularly abused, and once intentionally knocked off ? Of course some cyclists are twits, but most drivers (maybe even me when in my car) seem to think the road is just for them. It isn't and increasingly we are all going to have to share with all manner of electric vehicles of every kind. So get over it and stop whingeing about people on two wheels. |

Tom Waits. Greatest lyricist of his age. Ronnie Lane, the ultimate English melodist. Just lovely. |

I suspect my Aunt Glads' Shepherds Bush blue rinse eleven could have beaten us 5-0 at that moment in time. |

I agree about the 'nice' bit. I guess as QPR fans we love to wear a hair shirt, but I want a crowded grotty concourse, I like the smell of burgers and onions off a stall, I would like a little more leg room, but have no desire to be comfortable. when I watch a game, I like feeling hemmed in by fellow fans, feeling the atmosphere rather than feeling like I'm watching a game in an airport lounge. If I wanted to watch in comfort I would stay at home. An old school football ground is much more to my old school tastes. |

Why don't we petition to get Bobby Zamora day made into an official national holiday. We could all have the day off to get drunk and re-watch the game, except in Derby where they have to go to work as usual. |
