Okay so if today was the last game of the season, who would your player of the season be? To me only Rushworth and Tymon have consistently performed over the course of the season so far. |

Disappointed to hear this sung again, we should be showing more class. |

The first deadline for the most discount just passed, so how many took advantage ? |

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have or know of a spare? |

Sad news, loved Friends growing up, always seemed to struggle after and if you listen to him speak during it. Way too young RIP. |

UK bid now unopposed, does that mean we automatically qualify as a co-host? |

Their successful moon landings, what's peoples opinions, a poor project to spend trillions on when there is such poverty in the country or is it an opportunity to develop their economy and attract investment from external sources. [Post edited 23 Aug 2023 16:20]

What's happening with his betting issues, didn't he admit a load of breaches? If so, why he he still allowed to play until this is resolved, or has it been resolved and just passed me by. |

| Forum Thread | Aberfan at 21:52 23 Oct 2022
Thought the decision to clap a mins applause for Aberfan was pretty poor. Surely both sets of fans could have given the moment the respect it was due. There were a few d#cks when Kev was talking, but surely to god a 60 sec silence would have been observed. |
| Forum Thread | We have ways of making you talk at 15:44 23 Sep 2022
Podcasts , with Al Murray and James Holland, over 400 in the archives. If your into any sort of military history they are fantastic. Just listened to 10 things you didn't know about D-Day, Scotty from Star Trek fame was shot by his own troops on D-Day because he forgot the password coming back from patrol. Shot in the hand, his acting career subsequently always had him with his hand behind his back or in his pocket. More soldiers killed training for D-Day than on the first day itself. |
| Forum Thread | Energy prices at 18:13 18 Aug 2022
Just a had a lovely email from British Gas offering me an exclusive electricity fixed rate. There are 4 adults in the house with 1 working from home, they are offering me a rate based on last year's usage of £3300, that's just for electricity. I know this has been building for some time, but does anyone have any explanation why we are paying so much for energy whilst the rest of Europe appear to have minimal increases. Is it brexit or fat cats really taking us to the cleaners and blaming covid, Ukraine and brexit. Also I saw Truss saying profit is not a dirty word, but surely this is a disgrace. |
| Forum Thread | The Somme at 18:57 29 Apr 2022
I'm off to the Somme the week after next, visiting Mametz, and various other battlefield sites, memorials and cemeteries. I'll be paying my respects to recently discovered family members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. If anyone wants me to pay respects ot take photographs of any specific headstones, I'll be more than happy to oblige if I can. It's an organised trip so the itinerary is set, but I intend travelling out in the evenings to a few sites in and around Amiens. Drop me a pm. |
| Forum Thread | 1 player at 16:28 21 Apr 2022
If you could choose 1 player from our illustrious past to fit into this side, who'd it be ? A no nonsense defender, a midfield general or a free scoring attacker. Thinking specifically for this side and formation, I considered Fabs for Fisher, Gylfi or Ferrie for Grimes, Ante or Ash to shore up the backline, but would have to plump for Robbie and his lung bursting midfield performances. |
| Forum Thread | Loan thread at 22:07 14 Mar 2022
When did "loan" players become a thing ? Listening to soccer Saturday and it was game after game where the goal scorer was on loan from another team. I know we've done relatively well using the loan market, but surely its detrimental to the sport. I think it was Chelsea who had 20 odd players out on loan that cannot be right. It distorts whatever division these players are loaned to. Edit First players I remember being on loan to us were John Salako or Joey Beauchamp, any earlier? [Post edited 14 Mar 2022 22:10]

| Forum Thread | The ignore button at 18:16 11 Jan 2022
Genuine question, do you use the ignore function on here and if so how many do you have on ignore. I have 3, years ago I wouldn't dream of having posters on ignore, but I genuinely believe it enhances my forum experience and keeps me from getting into petty arguments with people who I simply wouldn't choose to interact with in the real world. Makes the mods job easier as well. No doubt I'll get pelters for using it, but wondered, is it just me or do others take the easy route as well. |

Watching him now against West Ham, he really is a good player , but a miserable bugger, never looks happy. Still think his red card cost us our PL position. |

Usually details start to emerge about now for early bird offers. What do we reckon, this season was definitely a bargain at £299. |
