Well done for having the guts to start this thread  I won't hold it against you if we lose.
In my dreams, Chair gets back on the pitch, we win, keeping a clean sheet, and Celar opens his account. I'm crossing everything but suspect we'll draw at best. |

Thanks for that report, spot on. Watching that from behind my sofa was a chastening enough experience, so slogging all the way up there...man alive, brutal. Hats off to everyone who went.
We don't produce many decent chances and we're not clinical, which is a worrying combination. We desperately need one of our other forward players to start scoring a few goals, the currently excellent Frey can't carry the team.
It wasn't the biggest issue but Andersen disappointed me again. He gave the ball away with a terrible pass and then, near the end, when he went on a great run which took him to the edge of their box, he opted not to shoot when the clock and the scoreline really meant he needed to let fly.
Sigh, it's never easy, is it?

I do wonder if some people assumed that our good form at the end of last season would naturally continue. Unfortunately, form can change very quickly, especially across a summer break.
As ever, we're heavily constrained by the P & S rules so we need pretty much every acquisition to come good. If they don't, it makes things really challenging and I would say Saito, Dembele and Celar are not delivering yet. It's a worry but there does seem to be a good team spirit plus our best player hasn't set foot on the pitch yet.
Results need to pick up and I'm not happy with how we are playing but we need to be patient. I think some fans' expectations might have been a bit high after the end of last season, especially given that, while better than last season, the squad still lacks firepower. Oh, and almost every team goes through rough patches in the Championship, it's such a long slog. |

If, God forbid, Frey gets injured, we are in a whole world of hurt.
We desperately need one of our other forward players to start scoring a few. Please 🙏.... Frey's probably also the only one who can hold the ball, he is a strong and a real battler.

I'm surprised that Arsenal have been criticised for this when:
- They have probably resorted to "the dark arts" less often than any other Prem club in the last couple of decades
-Man City are well known for committing professional fouls in order to stop opposition attacks. |
