Managed 25 professional club games and deemed good enough to manage England. |

In Garethās survival season he got 11 points from 13 games. To compare the 2 is laughable. Anyway, itās been an awful day, so Iām off to bed. |

Martin has last season to fall back on. Gareth was woeful since day 1. His record and the performances were awful. Les had 9 years here. I think he was given a fair chance Nothing you are saying is true |

We were going down before Marti took over. Gareth was one of the worst managers in our history and weāve had a few. What Marti did last season was incredible. |

Eh? Garethās win record was 18% and Marti is 33%. Marti has earnt our patience. Youāre just talking nonsense to make a point. Les was here for 9 years. Nourry has been here for less than 1. |

I thought we wanted a transfer policy which was in line with clubs ethos rather than just players the manager wants. Because as weāve seen numerous times, when the manager leaves we need to build all over again. That said, I would be amazed if Marti doesnāt have some involvement. |
| Forum Reply | Is Eustace a better manager than Cifuentes? at 09:19 29 Sep 2024
I donāt think thereās many managers in the world that could have saved us last season. This season weāre changing our style of play and got loads of new players with (save 1) no experience of English football. You donāt just start playing well, it takes time. As fans, now more than ever we need to be patient. Marti has earnt that much! |

Think he proved last season we shouldnāt be questioning his character. Heās a bit injury prone (much better recently) but heās quality defender and definitely a good character. |

Was anything said about why he missed the game today? Is he out for a bit? |

I think we look a much better side with Colback in it. Andersen has been the biggest disappointment. All the new guys need to be given time. Varrane is improving game by game. I think (maybe itās more hope) that thereās a really good player there. The others have been inconsistent. That is expected and is why we need patience. |
| Forum Reply | Can this team play Marti ball? at 12:31 22 Sep 2024
Yeah I think patience is key this season for us, the club and the players. Lot of new players and no Willock and Chair yet to feature. If you trust the manager and also like the type of player we sign, then you have to give them time. Varane has already looked much better. Look at Frey this season. |

Above all this season we all (fans, players) need to have patience. So many new players and quite a few (if not most) havenāt played any minutes in the England until now. |

And if that club approaches us and itās clear they know the contract details, then that helps us make a decision on whether to sell or not. Ie. If heās told the contract length to other clubs, then that player wants out. |

Thatās terrible news. All the best Finney. 100% echo what Connell10 says. |

But if they do tell us this info, what can we do with it? Or do about it? It only means we can praise or criticise decisions more. 2 years sound too short? 5 years what are they playing at? The only reason I can think they withhold is that if/when a club approaches qpr, if that club knows the contract length (and therefore bids accordingly), qpr know that the players agent or the player have spoken to that club first. So that may help in deciding whether heās a player we want to keep Or not. |

Looking back at the accounts, we were losing Ā£20m per year. Our wage bill was Ā£27m with 190 staff. I think/hope/cautiously optimistic that itās that number that has been the focus. Weāll get a bit more revenue and maybe get that wage bill down to around Ā£20m. With all the player and staff departures and the types/ages of players signed, Iād be amazed if we havenāt gone some way to reducing that figure. |
| Forum Reply | Transfer rumours 2024 at 10:45 21 Aug 2024
But itās not the same people making the decisions this time. Definitely reasons to be cautious over this and not sing praises too much but we canāt use the decisions when Warburton is here as reason to blame the current crop. If we sign this guy, I would still expect our wage bill to be down from last season. So, itās down to how the transfer fees in and out are structured. |
