I'm not convinced we need any new signings. Hanging around mid table this season whilst building a competitive team based on the current squad and what is coming through doesn't sound ambitious but, IMO, is better than dropping down a division to rebuild.
A new stadium has really become a millstone around the clubs neck with no sign of any change in the near future. I wonder if there is any mileage in a groundshare, tear down the old stadium and build a 3 tier (now ancient lights doesn't seem to be a hindrance to building up in the area) modern stadium with a 20-25k capacity? On a side note; I notice the list of invitees doesn't include a representative of the Rainbow Rangers who have been an officially recognised supporters group for a year now.
I can't recommend Lost Women Spies highly enough. Beautifully paced and acted. A compelling and compassionate tale of women trained by SOE during WW2 and deployed in France.
Since the removal of fact checking on Meta it is now widely known that Zuckerberg is a Swahili word meaning Cocksucker and the fires in LA began with sparks from his malfunctioning penis pump.
That is distressing news. As I was going up the stairs to leave I saw someone (Andrew) sat in his seat and looking very out of sorts so I stopped to ask him if he was OK and he informed me he had lost all sensation in his right leg. I was a 1st aider for over 30 years so I did a quick check to make sure he wasn't suffering a stroke and checked his capillary refill which was weak. I left him with another R's fan who sits along from me whilst I went to get a steward or St. Johns if I had seen them 1st. a senior steward ran over from the Paddocks where there had been an incident and after a few questions called for medical attention. When the St. Johns team arrived Andrew was still talking coherently but wasn't looking great. I was only going to be in the way from that point on so I left and went out to the SAR entrance to meet Dave. My deepest condolences to his family and I had feared the worst when I went to look for him at the home games since PNE. That's no age at all. RIP Andrew.
It's going to be bitterly cold tomorrow so I hope the players stretch and warm up extensively before the game. Thermals probably wouldn't be a bad idea either based on what's been happening in the Villa vs WHU game. We don't need any more non contact injuries.
I was right at the front of the Loft when that happened. GB stood there waiting for the ball to be thrown to him and the fan holding it said "If you want it, come and get it monkey boy" GB leapt straight over the fence and took a step or two before the ball was thrown to him with the comment "Alright it was just a bit of banter". He also moved away to another part of the Loft after it too.
Once he learned the reason for it he insisted that we win every game so he could join in, he absolutely loves joining in, Varane too. If we lose at home he says he's leaving.
IMO Chair & Paal are as good as it would get for over 90% of the teams in this division. Shades of Manning and BOS for me, not perfect but more than good enough.
