Ronnie Jepson 13:15 - Oct 25 with 9890 viewshull_dale19

I've just heard that he is about to be appointed permanent Bury manager.

He is 1/8 for the job with Stan James, most other bookies have suspended betting.

Don't get too excited, there hasn't been an appointment yet. I really can't see them appointing Jepson on a permanent basis, he's cut from the same cloth as Blackwell! They need an appointment that will bring the majority of the fanbase together, and I very much doubt Jepson is the man for that. Stewart Day must be able to see that? Surely?

I wouldn't trust the bookies to have the slightest clue on bury's next manager. There is so little money thrown at the market that even a small flurry of bets can lead to them closing the market or drastically reducing the odds on the 'favourite'.

I agree with whats been said above re Clubline, it looks like Jepson has the ability to carry on the Saturday Evening entertainment...

"Its difficult with 4 or 5 loan players. We didnt have it back in the day but like my Dad says looking back give you a stiff neck! RJ"

...immediately followed by...

"One positive from the past is we know we can get this club to the championship. Its proven! Hopefully we will get there! RJ"

** Just seen on the clubline twitter feed - Jepson will remain caretaker manager until January. Jesus. **

Money dried up then ?

Financially, it is probably the only option available to them. They won't be able to afford pay-offs for back-room staff and have no chance of shuffling the pack of players.

Jepson it is then. Let the fun commence.

I wonder if it will still be the case if they go on to lose there next 2 league games Wycombe away,Torquay at home) and exit the FA cup at the first attempt. As we know when we appointed Chris Beech it just gave us less games to correct the situation. The only thing I can think is they will borrow more money in Jan to give a new manager in order to try and dig themselves out of an ever deepening hole.

Probably. It's the way they do things at Giggle Lane. Borrow, borrow, borrow.

What are they going on about "bizarre press and social media speculation" making the situation "muddied"? Did they expect nobody to speculate?

Doing this makes even less sense than giving Jepson the job permanently. Why not until the end of the season if they support him 100%?

Continuation of the smoke and mirrors.
Why not be honest and say due to lack of funds we cannot afford to pay Blackwell off and then appoint another manager. Try offering the truth for once, instead of treating your fans like idiots! (on second thoughts) smoke and mirrors it is then. (Pep obviously can't get out of his contract till Jan)

Jan is obviously to allow the next person in the hotseat to come in, sign loads of players in a mad rush without assessing the squad.

I spotted a spelling mistake right at the end... it should read "The Bored" not "The Board".

I've just retired from it. I'm sick of being attacked for pointing out the obvious. Don't know if many of you have heard of bill hicks but when he talks of sedated masses, he was talking about our forum.

There's a bigger picture here.

Can you imagine the disappointment in the houses of Messrs Hoddle, Keegan, Holloway, that fella at Real Madrid, Phelan, Wilson, Sven and Gary n' Phil following the news? I do hope the good people at Revolution Towers had the manners to inform them that it was thanks but no thanks.

Their fans (most of them) have given the club carte blanche to treat them like idiots, given how they have been sucked in by this farce.
