Shame after a good start to season... Come on Dale... we'll back..KHBA

Early days... At least we've not ever looked truely out of a game (didnt go today so I'm happy to be corrected on that one)

At times look a bit 'light' up top which is to be expected with the inexperience.

Soft penalty but a penalty, Lillis at fault.

Lacking a cutting edge up front for me. Branston had the forwards in his pocket

Looking increasingly likely that we are going to have to rely on Hogan to score too much this season. Just can't see goals coming from anywhere else tbh.

And this playing against the twin carthorses Messrs Trotman and Branston?

Reality check due?

listened to first half on dp before got bored

rose sounded like he had a bad un and done (Still can't be match fit???)

donnelly up top today could have allowed hogan the space which we may have missed

oxford away will be tougher so players need to step up

Talking of "stepping up".....no one has shone in midfield to take over from Cav the Clown?

cav was always going to retain his place, thats how important he is to our young side this season

but you're right tutte hasn't done much to force his way into hillys plans

maybe give hery a chance alongside lund

I wanted a drink of tea from my Rochdale AFC mug
but I couldn't.
It kept sliding down the table!

The answer has got to be a Matt

Lund, or Done?

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Nailed on penalty according to Dale Player.

They also said that Lillis should never have gone for the ball.

?

What he should have done was show more conviction and made sure the ball was his, but his hesitation (as at Burton) again proved costly.

He did make a couple of good stops after, but the damage had been done.

Comical defending all round in the run up to the pen. Lillis had no need to be so far out of his net to even make a challenge.

Don't be hard on yourselves. You lost to a VERY soft penalty and your team dominated us completely in the second half. Lillis really kept you in it for the first half, yet our keeper saved us from dropping points on the second.

Thanks for that.

I'm probably being overly harsh on our performance, but I never felt we were going to score. For all our possession and chances, I can only remember McCormick making one real save.

I can understand why you were perhaps nervous, as the ball spent a lot of time up our end in the second half, but it was never really threatening.

We lacked a cutting edge and it was a bit like Hill's soft porn analogy from a few years back.
