How to Get to The Globe Arena:

By Car & Motorcycle:

Motorcycles:

Secure motorcycle parking bays are provided at the Globe Arena. These are sited at each side of the concourse to the front of the Main Stand. No charge is made for parking a motorcycle.

Cars:

Post Code for Sat Nav: LA3 3DE (This takes you to Westgate Caravan Park opposite)

Leave the M6 at junction 34 (signposted Kirkby Lonsdale), then turn right onto the A683 (Caton Road) heading for Lancaster.

Continue on the Caton Road and bear left into one-way system (signposted Heysham, Morecambe, City Centre)

Keep in left hand lane and continue forward on the A589

At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A589

At 2nd roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A589

At 3rd roundabout take the 1st exit onto West Gate. Continue on Westgate for about a mile — you will pass Morecambe Fire Station on your right just before you reach the Globe Arena also on your right.

Parking:

The car parking immediately outside the Globe Arena is allocated through a ticketing system and spaces are not available for purchase on the day of the match. Cars approaching the stadium without a valid parking permit will be turned away by the stewards manning the entrance road.

260 parking places are available at every game at Westgate Primary School. The school is located on Langridge Way and is 450 yards from the Globe Arena. For postcode identification use LA4 4XF.

The cost of parking at the school is £4.00 and all takings are collected and administered directly by the school. The proceeds are used by the school without recourse to the Football Club. Our message to everyone is that we encourage the use of public transport, walking and cycling but we recognise that car travel is the preferred option of many. Until you are convinced of the benefits of leaving your car at home we would ask you to use the school car park thereby keeping the residential streets around the Globe Arena unobstructed and perhaps the best reason of all, to support the local school children.

By Bus:

Shrimps Matchday Special

A dedicated bus service to the Globe Arena is provided for Saturday matchdays. The bus is provided by Morecambe Heritage Bus Company and covers the route from Lancaster University to the Globe Arena. Those who are going in lancaster for a pre-match drink Lancaster City FC have recommended Squires Snooker Centre in town, which is affiliated with them as their Social Club is apparently closed

Taz, "squires" is owned by the chairman of Lancaster City so it is bound to be recomended by him! Its also around 30 mins in a car from there to The Globe.

Some decent ale houses in Morecambe with the "York Hotel" being a really nice boozer with the football on.

http://www.yorkhotelmorecambe.co.uk/

Couple of chain pubs near the ground with a Toby Carvery as you turn onto Westgate coming from Lancaster (nice chippy - "The Troutbeck" on the estate next to it - one mile from ground) followed by the "William Mitchell" which is half mile from ground.

With my little stick of Blackpool Rock, along the promenade I'll stroll

Don't use Longport station for a night match. Last train is around 930 so unless you want to wait all night, forget it.

Would guess the standing one will be. It's a raised terrace too, so the view might be a bit better than the away end at their old ground.

"The Singers" will more than likely be standing as they don't like seats or sitting in them hope this helps and Terracing is cheaper option aswell as being behind goal

I would have thought that you would be in the terracing behind the goal with the singers to add to the 'atmosphere'?

I was one of the 85,000 at Wembley yesterday and you will be glad to know that there were about five Mexican waves!

It's a shame Frontier Land and Noel Edmonds' World of Crinkly Bottom aren't there anymore. It'd been a bumper day out then.
