This club never content to be boring

Nope
Instead we’ll go from relegation certs, to play off outsiders and quick as a flash doing all we can to join the relegation mix.
I’d wager we’ll be SIX POINTS above relegation at the turn of the international break as next up is Leeds and Derby play Plymuff. I mean how the actual fcuk?!

Bipolar this mob. Totally.

Seems we actively seek out thick as whale blubber players

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Absolutely bang on the mark

If we were a mental health condition - absolutely and totally BIPOLAR

When we are good, we can seem suddenly like we have been building up correctly and all aspects of the club are in place and we totally know what we are doing.

And yet BANG, all of a sudden, we have a dreadful run of results, everybody picks up injuries, no one seems like they are trying and we can't score for toffee.

The only predictable thing is we can be massively unpredictable

It's been very different squads, management teams, but the curse of Loftus road rings true...

BIPOLAR we are indeed !!!

On the + side, our goal difference is reasonable compared to the teams below.
One more win should ensure our continuing participation in this vale of tears they call the Championship.

I hate to say it but I don't think it's a huge coincidence that our downturn has coincided with Chair coming back into the team (and I appreciate that he is not the only factor).

I think he's a very good player and has done great things for us in the past, but since coming back from injury he's not been at his best, and if anything he slows down the way we play.

I'm sorry he had to go off injured last night but if he misses out on Saturday then I think that will help us. Last night was not easy with both Field and Varane missing but we do need to make ourselves harder to beat. I know the manager wants us to be more attacking but in the end it just leaves us more open - we need to go back to the pragmatic approach which did so well for us a few months ago. This is the Championship, you need to earn the right to play through running, tackling and being physical. My worry is the manager hasn't fully realised this, and in any case we don't have all the right personnel to play how he wants. I think that Madsen theoretically should have been a big part of that but clearly that has not worked out. So far...

He can shuffle the deck again for Saturday (if Varane is fit, pair him with Colback and put Morgan further forward in place of Chair; I'd start Smyth as well instead of Yang; if Morrison is fit to play, he's our player, start him). But what do I know - Leeds will probably reverse the 4-0 from last season.

Pains me to say it but I have to agree on Chair

Huge fan of his and previous posts will back me up on that.
This season for him has been a write off.
Injured or not I’d be taking him out of the 11 for a while now and trying the more pragmatic route as you say.

The rot needs to stop or Marti will presiding over a record run of defeats and be staring down the barrel for the second time this season.

I can really foresee we may need to be going to Sunderland in n need of a point to be mathematically safe. That would be an absolute scandal after the turnaround we managed.

Just seems our players can't do a full season. Past managers have criticised the players mentality and I know this is a different team to Critchleys for example but we seem to do it every season. Just large parts of the season, just losing every week, get a result and string some decent performances together. It's getting a bit wierd now.

The recent defeats have all been by the odd goal. So we're not far away.

We probably need 3 or 4 more points to retain our status. Injuries to key players don't help and the squad does appear unbalanced.

We are, currently, a mid table Championship side.

Can't see it.

Assume you lose to Leeds and Derby beat Plymouth. They'd still be 6 points behind you with 8 games left.

Now assume they play well enough in those games (and you play badly enough) for them to make up that deficit.

It would still take ALL of Preston, Swans, Pompey, Oxford, Hull, Stoke and Swansea to make up points as well, to see QPR drop to 22nd.

And that last won't happen, if only because at least some of them still have to play each other.
