Picked a fine time to come home for the week. Nice bit of cyanide in the air.

First time since those lions got loose that Look North has had some proper news to report.

Hahaha what other elements are they adding to the script?

Is the captain Iranian and the ship's doctor North Korean?

That's quite a leap. Russia has a big naval tradition and not every Russian is a criminal or linked to Putin just in the same way as not every US citizen is a MAGA loving Trumpite or every British person a Johnson/Sunak/Truss fanboy/girl etc etc.

Boats often have crew from all over the world on them, not just from where the boat is registered to/operates from.
If the Kremlin was involved, do you think they'd make it that obvious.

Obviously I wasn't being 100% serious and following on from the original poster but yeah, it's a bit weird that a ship can hit another ship while the ship is anchored.

The ship that is hit being one carrying fuel for the US military, the ship that caused the accident being captained by a Russian.

I would have thought an accident like this would be virtually impossible given the technology onboard.

The ship that was hit had failed several checks checks recently including a check on its steering gear

If there isn’t something suss about it, someone should tell the UK media who are hammering home the point that the captain was Russian.

It’s either conspiracy or shite journalism. Neither of these are good for us.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand your argument.

If my car has failed the MOT so I leave it parked up in the middle of field but someone manages to cross through the field ignoring any warning systems and plough into the side of my car it's not really my fault despite my car failing a safety check.
