QPR v Fat Frank's Lady Godìva first eleven match thread 16:30 - Feb 9 with 31887 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

Back to our better selves against Blackburn last week. We've had a week off, Coventry haven't. They are doing well, so are we.

We just look like a good team. 2-0 QPR.

Decent game. We need to get the first goal. They look dangerous. We haven't created too much.

The first subs are going to be significant, for both teams.

That first half had 0-0 written all over it.

Sounds a bit of a mid table bore fest so far...just what I was anticipating TBH. We seem to have lost our threat on our travels in recent times frustratingly .Take the 0-0 and be done with it.

Pretty sure Marti would be the happier of the 2 managers, purely by the fact we are away.

Pretty average first half, they look dangerous at corners, we don't look dangerous at all. Playing some nice stuff but no real danger

Think Colback as been our best player, as been everywhere

All in all keep it tight for 15 mins and we must be the fresher team after a weekend off.... not beyond the realms of possibility nicking this

Great first half to watch. Lots of action. We have been lively but they had the better chance only to be denied by an absolutely unbelievable double-save from the Frenchman. Going into the dressing rooms the teams are evenly balanced and it definitely could go either way in the second half

In a weird way, it feels like the first time we've had a 0-0 at HT where its been 2 decent quality evenly matched teams. Usually at least one team, often us, have managed to be a bit shambolic! But this isn't that! Fine with this, wouldn't mind Varane at some point in midfield

Cov look good down their left, causing Dunne problems. Paal not great tonight.

One goal will win this.

Decent game, our midfield looks a bit more porous than recent weeks. Would look at changes there, Morgan’s had enough of a rest now after 45 mins sitting down

Saito is really growing into the Champ, I like him.

Their defence doesn’t look the quickest either

Nice to have options off the bench

Anyone else finding the live editing annoying? They keep switch from the actual play to close ups or overly long replays. I want to watch the game for goodness sake.

Cambridge 3 down to Birmingham and have gone with sending QPR a message by having a short bench just so that Taylor couldn't get on it.

Strange atmosphere from the Sky tv coverage - crowd / pitch noise very quiet - barely hear the fans or the refs whistle

I think we held our own, but they've been more threatening.

Please football gods... let's nick this 1 nil

Doing alright but there’s a lack of movement on the front line.

Great run from Saito but had to wait so long for someone to make the right run, he got dispossessed.

Sort that out and we could have a good 25/26.

You're a ray of sunshine, aren't you! Do you enjoy watching football?

I thought it a half-decent first half by both sides, though we struggled to create real opportunities, and for me Frey is again struggling to get into the game. Nardi's double save was great to see, and Koki has stood out for us with his trickery and one or two great bits of chasing back, while Ili isn't quite on it and Smyth's been quiet. Colback definitely gives us a bit more bite and grit, as well as knitting things together better than Varane for me. Don't understand the hate for Paal by some, who I think has done pretty well. Their corners scare me, but otherwise how good is it to see us go to a team above us in the table and really compete?

As the cliche goes, the first goal is likely to be crucial and may well win it - if there's to be a winner.

That'll be The Ricoh Arena, it's always been terrible. Sounds like an indoor swimming pool.

Good in patches but rode our luck in the box a couple of times.

I'd like to see Min the Merciless have a run at them. Not sure for who though.
