January 2025 transfer window hopes & facts 11:08 - Jan 3 with 28149 viewsCrashBandicoot

Apologies if there is a transfer thread I'm opening a thread for the January transfer window which has now opened.

Who should be a potential signing for us and who should move on either via loan or permanently? I've heard Kyrell Lisbie & Gus Scott Morriss mentioned as potential targets but could they potentially make the jump from NL to L2? Some players do but others don't.

Plus actual transfers that we bring in & out can also be mentioned here.

If fit, could be a good signing. A forward would be even better.

I would imagine we'll see some of it. Some are suggesting we'll get something from Bramall going to Portsmouth.

A friend of mine who has connections at the club. It was not news I was expecting to hear that's for sure. Whether it actually comes to anything remains to be seen though.

Robbie transferring ownership to someone else?

Now that would be a huge transfer.

These rumours been knocking around on the Facebook group for a number of days but frankly don't put a lot of credance in them as many of the contributors are totally put of touch with reality.

Halford was the most expensive sold.
Nobody in the squad worth that sort of money now , not even with several bolt ons

Halford went for £2.5m and the most we ever spent was £400k so any most expensive deal would have to exceed those figures.

That's the word on the street. I was very surprised. Guess we can only wait and see if anything comes of it.

Without wanting to sound padantic, this has nothing to do with the January transfer window, it can be done anytime.

You're spot on as ever Mick. Change of ownership is a separate thing, can occur whenever I think and just now I for one hope tis nowt but a rumour.

There's the seeds of recovery since November and whilst management and players deserve the credit for that Mr Cowling has backed them and destabilising the current situation would be a drag.
I'm hoping the day passes quietly and we keep Tovide and invest in what we have until May when I really hope we make the top half. How long it must be since we had more wins than defeats I simply don't know and Saturday will be a great test of the progress made.

As a little boy one of my first games was Walsall at LR and we won 5-1 having been four up in about half an hour. Good old Jimmy Oliver had a rare good day. Be lovely to repeat that at the weekend.

I was only being mischievous with my comment for some fun

I'm not on Facebook so don't see these types of rumours

It would be an interesting situation but as others have said it has nothing to do with the transfer window

Scully is back for the remainder of the season on loan, and apparently after surgery, better and fitter than he was before - fingers crossed, and welcome back Anthony Scully!
