It's a sign of the times I was in school too. I had to do Latin and when that stopped they considered I was too behind so no point in doing Welsh.
I don't want the language to die but if there is enough interest it will survive without a leg up.
Schools in Wales are badly in need of funding, we struggle to recruit teachers, building are falling apart, isn't that more worthy of a leg up and that's before we egt to the NHS and saving peoples lives. |

Well it seems as if there is more interest in learning Spanish or German or other European languages.

Why do they need to improve them? They are in their own country and speaking their native tongue, nothing wrong with that.

Now,considering the lingua Franca of the vast majority of this island and that of commerce worldwide ,I would have thought it obvious
So,yeas,they should improve ,otherwise,they miss out
