McNicholas and Rodney injured? At least Henry is back on the bench.

In his home appearances he has worked hard, but nothing really has come off. It is a good opportunity for him to start today and make and impact. It is good to see Henry back.

Ebbsfleet away match thread on 16:01 - Oct 5 with 8796 views | SuddenLad | 2 excellent goals from Allarhakia and McBride. Dale on top for almost all of the first half and have controlled the game perfectly. Should be able to increase the gaols in the second half. Mitchell ironically has had a relatively quiet 45 minutes. More to come, I'm sure. Up to second in the table as things stand.

How to completely implode in a couple of mins, shit goal to concede from lazy passing and Robson miles off his line got lobbed then and a cheap penalty... 2.2 [Post edited 5 Oct 16:28]

Ebbsfleet away match thread on 16:31 - Oct 5 with 8278 views | SaxonDale | The team still seems to not understand that goals change games. The amount of chances we miss and soft goals we concede is a really worrying trend. What was an easy shut out has now turned into us hanging on. We’ve lost all momentum at the moment.

Please substitute "team" for McNulty. Very poor choices from the manager after we totally dominated the first half.

Ebbsfleet away match thread on 17:02 - Oct 5 with 7486 views | NorthernDale | It was the same last week, get in front and instead of killing off the game, we sit back, today 2 up and second half, instead of killing off in the game, we allow them back into the game. McNulty needs to develop a ruthless streak, because his present approach off when we take the lead, to get the team to sit back, will cost us over the season and could be the difference between promotion and another season in the national league.

We weren't really sitting back though. We were comfortably in control and pushing in the 2nd half before two minutes of madness. Still not sure who was at fault for their first, fair play to their lad it was a great finish but everybody just seemed to just leave it?

Very frustrating against the bottom of the league. Still comfortably in the playoffs but our injuries are a worry.

Fairly sure the commentary said it was Ferguson at fault, but just seemed to pass it in the middle of the pitch and nobody reacted one bit, 2 terrible soft goals to concede when realistically it could and should have been a cricket score, they are very very poor

That was absolutely shocking going from 2-0 up at half time with 2 cracking goals and dominating the first half to draw 2-2. Robson was definetley a waste of space . He couldn't save his own life if he tried . We would have been better with Brad Kelly in goal than him Very disappointing game to draw against a team who sits t the bottom of the table The REAL Dale4life [Post edited 5 Oct 17:32]

As elsewhere, didn’t see the game, what did he change prior to their goals that gave them the initiative?

Ebbsfleet away match thread on 18:20 - Oct 5 with 6572 views | Newbury_Dale | Not sure what was more depressing, the second half capitulation or the drunken behaviour of the half dozen idiots off the Booze Bus. Foul mouthed and homophobic in front of children for the duration. An embarrassment to themselves and the football club. I was shocked to see a former Trust Chairman encouraging them at one point in the first half. Will think twice about bothering with an away game in future.
Ebbsfleet away match thread on 18:37 - Oct 5 with 6448 views | Daley_Lama | The penalty was pretty much the same as that at Eastleigh, no need to dive in, player going nowhere etc. We do have a young team and mistakes are going to happen, but we did look a bit lost for 10 minutes or so when they had scored. Disappointing but something the lads can learn from again.

Wouldn’t it have been sensible at half time to bring Hogan and Henderson on to introduce some experience at both ends of the pitch.

I’m not sure you should be throwing accusations around tbf. I was right in the middle of it and several of us were calling out drink fuelled youngsters for stupid remarks. There was no encouragement. That’s as polite as I can possibly put it.

I watched the game. The first sixty minutes was as good as we've played this season, some good passing and movement and we got behind their defence on numerous occasions. Ebsfleet are by a distance the worst team I've seen since we dropped out of the league. I commented during the second half that the only way these could get back into the game was by us doing something stupid...five minutes later we did, it looked like casual, lack of concentration play by Ferguson who seemed to just pass the ball to nobody and their player picked it up and clipped it over the keeper. Completely unexpected and Robson couldn't have anticipated it, there was no reason for us to lose possession of the ball. This was then compounded by a rash challenge by Gordon which looked like a definite penalty. To be fair to Ferguson it's the first real error he's made but it will be interesting what McNulty does next, will he stick with him or go with Hogan who has been a solid lower league defender for a long time. All defenders make mistakes at this level though, i suppose it will boil down to what he sees on the training ground. We've lost three away games now and the central defenders have been at fault in all three for gifiting goals, the same also happened at home to Solihull. Ferguson hasn't been McNultys first choice this season but he took his chance and made himself undroppable, today was his first real error and because of that i think it would be harsh to drop him at Fylde next week. I'm really hoping though that Hogan will prove to be better than what we've seen over the last two or three seasons because the centre of defence has been a comedy of errors for a long time. No point the manager signing him up for the season if he isn't better than what we already have. Time will tell if that's the case. Pre-season the majority of fans highlighted the centre of defence as a cause of concern, one that needed strengthening, but it didn't happen. In the first couple of months those concerns by the fans have come to fruition and we've lost games as a result. It's a shame because the rest of the recruitment has been decent but giving away daft goals is undermining a lot of great work, as we saw today. [Post edited 5 Oct 19:55]

Ebbsfleet away match thread on 19:28 - Oct 5 with 6035 views | NorthernDale | Apparently McNulty took Ferguson off because he had picked up a knock. What is worrying Rodney and McNicholas have muscle injuries, and could be out for six weeks. I wonder why are we suffering so many muscle injuries this season.

What a strange comment about Robson. The ball is lost in the muddle of the park. He is offering and option so is out of the area and the forward passes it into the net. Then he fails to save a penalty. From your comments I presume you thought Kelly was nailed on to save the penalty. Because other than that the keeper didn’t need to make a save. First look at Dale this year, and on a compact field they were able to have full control. TAR was really good, and East and Burger dovetailed well. McBride is interesting, he looks half a yard short of pace but still seems to make good contributions. Fully deserved 2 up at half time, with 2 good finished. Early second half we still kept domination. Then Ferguson and maybe Burger leave it for each other and their forward says thanks. Then the penalty is needless penalty and we are in a fight. We wrestled back control and Beckwith hits a pile driver which is blocked. Short or wanted TAR to try a pull back rather than try and find Mitchell in the six yard box with the numerous byeline crosses. But that has been successful more than once this season so I get it. Five minutes of poor decision make cost us a 95 minute game. BJ can only mange the manageables so cant lay and blame at his door. Frustrating, but this was night and day compare to this fixture last year. We are still a good side. UTD
