Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 16:37 - Jan 1 by SFC_Referee | Get in Adam Armstrong! Been a while since he scored Still it ain't just saints on a streak, as that's 3 in a row that I've got our first goalscorer right! Just gotta try and keep a clean sheet now |
Well we didn’t did we ffs
Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 17:00 - Jan 1 with 1259 views | saint22 | 21 shots and only 4 on target is appalling and this happens way too often If we don’t make top 2 it’s our poor finishing that is at fault Keep your 75% possession etc that is not good enough
Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 17:05 - Jan 1 with 1193 views | Southamptonfan | With Ipswich only drawing, it's not a bad away point. We all know we need a bit more fire power up front but the unbeaten run continues. It was a tough game away from home today. It's still all to play for, but like others have said, we.need a striker.

Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 17:10 - Jan 1 with 1154 views | SFC_Referee | Annoying how we just didn’t take our chances, and for us to take one it took an open goal from a yard out (so practically impossible to miss!) for us to score! Whilst their goal the lads didn’t have their heads fully in the game, and it’s cost us! As I didn’t feel that many player’s performed well out there at all, with many being quite sloppy. As even the players that are usually quite good like KWP, Downes, Stu etc… were poor today, as I think it was only Bellis, bednerak (who I’d be interested to know as to why he was taken off at HT) and Bazunu that did well and couldn’t have done much more. But still away at Norwich ain’t the easiest, and 10 points from the 4 games we’ve just had certainly ain’t anything to complain about. Although another positive is that at least Ipswich didn’t win, and only got a draw against a 10 man Stoke team, so we stay only 3 points behind, although could’ve been just 1 with the win as well as Leeds now reducing the gap behind us to 4 points.

Yeah well if Edozie is out for more than a month, then I think we’ve got even more need to get one now than we did before KO

That it though isn’t it? If we were clinical we would be a point behind Ipswich now

Well he’s coming out to pressurise their striker, just the same as you see any other keeper do it in that situation, but for a shot that’s in off of the post and through KWP’s legs, there’s not a lot he can do there. As really that was KWP’s fault there as he should’ve been ahead of the striker and getting down to try and make an interception and block off their lads shot, yet didn’t, so it just went threw his legs and into the back of the net.

That is KWP's problem, he's very poor at defending. Great going forward but does cost us goals & points with his inability to defend properly.

I agree, dont understand the idea that JS has to be shoehorned into the side. He is a liability imo and completely messed up the balance of the side when he came on during the last game. The back four have been solid since he got injured and I see no reason to bring him back. Dont understand why he left Alacaraz on the bench considering he was MoM on Friday night.

It doesn't matter whether we have shots on target or not - it is the number of goals that counts. Yet again we failed to score more than 1 goal away from home - in a game that we really dominated. We failed to kill the game off and again we have conceded an avoidable goal that has cost us 2 points - which was Norwich's first shot on target !! To be fair though, our defenders must have had about 10 of our chances with Jack coming closest with his shot that hit the bar. Adams tried to recreate his Man City goal a couple of times as well, shooting from 40 yards !!

Well, you will not score any goals if your shots are not on target. But even if you compare our best stats, they are not good enough for the PL.
