Liam 'Right wing' Cullen ππ₯³ 12:30 - Oct 29 with 1849 views | RhonddaSwans | So has he silenced his critics? We need this lad tied down to a new deal he isn't just a fox in the box anymore. Took his goal cutting in from the right, To be fair since the Wales V Gibraltar game he has looked far fitter than I have ever seen him at. His tracking back is questionable at times but I think he is filling in there beautifully. We need that 5 year contract signed asap! As we will end up losing him to another Championship team.

It was a good goal yesterday and you can never fault his effort but he's really not what we need out there. As backup for Yates and Big Myk we could do worse.

In fairness, heβs scored about as many as Piroe or Bony would from the right wing. With the everybody fit, Iβd be rotating him with Yates. Heβs clearly doing a job there because heβs versatile, not because heβs a natural winger.I can see the logic in Key or Ashby in that position.

Which is twice as many as Paterson has scored in the last 2 years, Stats eh?
Liam 'Right wing' Cullen ππ₯³ on 14:12 - Oct 29 with 1739 views | RichardO | Would left footed Cullen and right footed Lowe be better off if they swapped sides and would that result in better crosses into the box for Yates to feed off?
Liam 'Right wing' Cullen ππ₯³ on 16:22 - Oct 29 with 1660 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Cullen is the definition of a 'slow burner'. I noticed it took him time to settle in the u18 and u21 v before kicking on. He just gets on with it improving assets of his game each and every season. He has even scored an headed goal this season. I have question his strength and bravery in the past but he has clearly worked on this. I saw his debut along side another debutant Dan James v Palace in the cup. He was in position but "did not get on the end of crosses" like Andre Ayew could (with the same stature). He has to be the player that always does the right thing at the right time. Swansea schooled players are good at this. Like Routledge he may decide this is the team to play for until retirement. Second leading goalscorer every season with 10 being the target. A player that fits the system. Other team want such players if there is little time left on his contract. Cullen was with a crop of five FAW prospects. Woodburn, Broadhead, Tyler Roberts, Mark Harris. Woodburn and Roberts seem to have lost their way. Harris is trying to reinvent himself at league 1 level. Broadhead and Cullen are improving still at 24 and hinting at liftoff. [Post edited 29 Oct 2023 16:25]

Well iirc blackburn were mooted to be after him, he would have done his chance good after yesterday's performance.

No reason to go anywhere else d) He is improving month on month. e) Strikers are hard to find. f) He has no disciplinary problems and follows instructions.(unlike Obafemi) g) He is playing at the highest level given his talents atm

He said in January he was interested in leaving. There are 8 months left on his contract and he hasn't signed/been offered a new one. Two reasons why he may leave.

He will stay in Swansea for less than Blackburn are offering him. The way i see it whether he stays or leaves is up to Watson. If Watson offers him a decent pay rise he stays.

The club have an option for another 12 months. Cullen is earning a quarter of what most of the other squad players earn. His fear is being stuck on the same wages for another 18 months. Yes if they offer him a new contract he will probably stay, if this is not done by January he will probably leave if an offer comes in for him, he could easily treble his wages.

If the club take the p!ss then I wouldn't blame him if he did one.
Liam 'Right wing' Cullen ππ₯³ on 00:22 - Oct 30 with 1249 views | jasper_T | He'll be looking at the players the club spent 7 figures on and thinking he's just as good if not better than them. And then he might notice how Whittaker is doing and feel a bit relieved Morgan wanted out. Playing for his future. We can't go handing out long contracts and big payrises off the back of a handful of decent performances in a struggling forward line, not when we've spent so much in those areas already. And you can't blame him for having his agent get the feelers out for a more lucrative opportunity. Keep scoring goals in a winning side and he'll have decisions to make come January.

His salary at Swansea is shockingly low.

Not sure what Cullen being out of position and underperforming compared to a proper wide player has to do with Paterson.

If he got the Β£10K a week it would quadruple his wages. They really need to sort this out and no playing silly games like they did with Patterson. The Kidwelly Messi deserves it, he is not a kid anymore and he must secure his future.
