Gianni di Marzio 08:54 - May 3 with 3382 views | TheChef | Anybody remember this guy? Apparently he was at the club from 2011 to 2016 as a transfer market consultant / scout but I have no recollection of his name! Just came across him on an Italian football video where he briefly mentions us winning the Championship.

He's in the background on The Four Year Plan a lot, hair looks like he's had quite a serious electric shock.

Cheers! Yes I assumed he was a Paladini pal. One of those classic Italian football characters who manages a different club every season https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gianni_Di_Marzio

I swear to God there must be 1,000 retired Italian men who have a CV that looks exactly like this. Only surprise is Siena aren't on there. The same clubs crop up over and over again. If you find an Italian man who hasn't managed at least one of Lecce, Genoa, Palermo and Catania you get a special medal from the government. 1972—1973 Juve Stabia 1973—1974 Brindisi 1974—1977 Catanzaro 1977—1979 Napoli 1979—1980 Genoa 1980—1982 Lecce 1982—1983 Catania 1984—1985 Padova 1987—1988 Cosenza 1988—1989 Catanzaro 1989—1990 Cosenza 1991—1992 Palermo Luigi De Canio's is pretty classic... 1988—1993 Pisticci 1993—1995 Savoia 1995—1996 Siena 1996—1997 Carpi 1997—1998 Lucchese 1998—1999 Pescara 1999—2001 Udinese 2001—2002 Napoli 2002—2003 Reggina 2003—2004 Genoa 2005—2006 Siena 2007—2008 Queens Park Rangers 2009—2011 Lecce 2012 Genoa 2013—2014 Catania 2016 Udinese 2018—2019 Ternana Francesco Guidolin, who we wanted instead of De Canio, some good staples here... 1988—1989 Giorgione 1989—1990 Treviso 1990—1991 Fano 1991—1992 Empoli 1992—1993 Ravenna 1993 Atalanta 1994—1998 Vicenza 1998—1999 Udinese 1999—2003 Bologna 2004—2005 Palermo 2005 Genoa 2005—2006 Monaco 2006—2007 Palermo 2007 Palermo 2007—2008 Palermo 2008—2010 Parma 2010—2014 Udinese 2016 Swansea City Osvaldo Jaconi, come on mate we've all had a drink... 1982-1984 Civitanovese 1984-1986 Fano 1986-1987 Rimini 1987-1988 Catania 1988-1989 Rimini 1989 Rimini 1989-1990 Lecco 1990-1993 Leonzio 1993-1998 Castel di Sangro 1998-2000 Savoia 2000-2002 Livorno 2002 Catania 2002-2003 Lucchese 2003-2004 Ravenna 2004-2005 Novara 2005-2007 Ivrea 2007-2008 Andria BAT 2008-2010 Civitanovese 2010-2012 Bassano Virtus 2012-2013 Montegranaro 2013-2014 Civitanovese 2014-2016 Fermana 2023- Sangiorgese

Mention of Jaconi reminds of the best football book I've ever read - 'The Miracle of Castel Di Sangro'. If you've not read it, I thoroughly recommend it. If you thought QPR was mad......

I still say every time we lose: 'The season is long and hard.' Still makes me laugh that the author, who barely knew anything about football before he started the book, was lecturing the manager half the time about who he should pick.

Thought I read somewhere that that book was not entirely true to life, some artistic licence was involved? But anyway, still a great read.

Gianni di Marzio on 00:00 - May 4 with 2282 views | lave16 | I always wondered why Luigi de Canio never got another run out for us, anyone who managerial career includes us and Pisticci is in a pretty elite group.
