Pretty unsure how an investor (s) can determine the future of the club this summer unless the sums and detail agreed ( they nearly have been ) lead on to a more influential financial input later on.

If that’s the case it may well be the uncertainty on many things will lead to a lot more throughout the summer.

Yep, that’s spot on from what I’m told.

Both Morris and Morgan are in Asia (not in same country). Morgan will always have an interest in Swansea.

But again, he has nothing to do with the impending investments - this is the clear benefit of our current owners at the helm and what they are able to bring into the club.

Also important to note, this is what Huw Jenkins meant by “next level”. They couldn’t do this sort of external fundraise to any significant level, whereas our current owners have that pull and the stature both in sport and investments where they can attract such interest.

I personally do not see why the fans are so down on the US owners (or Yanks as they are disparagingly called).

Swansea fans appear to do everything to devalue their own club putting faith in a fans owned group that does not even have the nous of a smart 17 year old and invest its assets in property or other assets and sell their shares while in the premier league they were in for 7 seasons.

No one can predict football results so equating 'next level' to form on the field in nonsense. The pro fan group group stated they would never invest. They were wrong. Without US ownership Swansea would be league 1 or 2 as happened under Mr Struel back in the early 1980s.

Levien and co bought DC off big Asian billionaires. They are not a small fry but naive enough to think they would be greeted like Reynolds and "the Yank" up at Wrexham. .

I’m assuming by what you are saying that there are more than one party investing ? The Morris group seems to be widely spoken of but haven’t heard much of others.

Not sure on who has brought them to the table but we need something to narrow the gulf between our budgets and others in the division

Sadly it’s come down to a battle of manager or the owners.

We clearly have a talented squad and we aren’t where we should be in the league. We are unquestionably underperforming when viewed through the scope of the whole season.

Those who can’t bring themselves to blame the manager, in who they have invested so much energy and support into, are finding a way to deflect and blame the owners.

I will go as far to say they are the best owners we have ever had. Who else has sourced external funds, kept us solvent while ensuring we can spend millions year on year on players.

I hear this “bottom third” budget a lot and I laugh every time. It was a master stroke from Winter who instantly took pressure off himself and others by making such a throw away statement. Those statements tend to stick and despite it obviously not being true, some will stand by it and use it as a shield.

Our budgets are more than competitive already, but the investments will certainly help with cash flow and give us greater freedom to acquire without selling to the extent we would have if we didn’t have the investments. There is more than one, club will announce when ready.

Very important that people stick to the facts though. These comments about Morgan and Morris watching the games from a box together and also Morgan being the driving force behind the investments needs to stop. It’s not true and not helpful, time accuracy starts getting promoted because some of the stuff churned out is crazy.
