Boro Match Thread 10:40 - Aug 18 with 48267 views | PinnerPaul | Busy day for me today (for a retiree!), hopefully back in time to watch the game on QPR+. Afraid I can't see another 3-0, so I've gone for 1-1, Chair to open his account for the season.

Boro Match Thread on 22:25 - Aug 18 with 2326 views | Benny_the_Ball | A colossal win achieved through belief, grit and a sprinkling of quality. I'm trying hard to curb my enthusiasm but the last time I felt like this was when Mackie snatched a 2-2 draw at Derby. We all know what happened that season.

How long before Newcastle realise we have the best of the Willock brothers?
Boro Match Thread on 22:28 - Aug 18 with 2266 views | Mick_S | We have a decent bunch here. Do not ever take the 1-1 pre match. Take it when we are really up against it late on.

Boro Match Thread on 22:30 - Aug 18 with 2224 views | Metallica_Hoop | What a great win. It say's a lot to me about what Warbs is doing and doing very well. Three years ago we'd have probably lost that.

because he was a little younger, relatively inexperienced, trying to adapt to being in a different non-English speaking environment. he therefore probably wasn't gaining the full benefit of the coaching set up and being properly developed to take on a specific style of play. Nor would have been on the weights/training regime we provided him so was under developed physically. Does that help? Should add that a season and half under Warballs and one of the best young player development set ups outside of the premiership (honestly think that is now true) has probably helped as well. Boro Match Thread on 22:05 - Aug 18 by Hunterhoop | I need a stiff drink. Outstanding result. One for the ages. Second half performance was superb. Character shown was amazing. The whole back 5 and subs really stood up. Kakay was superb after coming on. Handled that Jones kid so much better than Odubajo did. Barbet, Dickie, De Wijs, Wallace…superb. Add Dunne to that when he came on. You wants guts, Warnock? That was it. |
Odubajo proving a bit of a loose cannon. Well done our team. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Odubajo had a tough time against their winger Jones. Second yellow just a game ban I think. Ozzie showed his worth and a chance for one of our young players on the bench on Saturday.

Boro Match Thread on 22:56 - Aug 18 with 1877 views | Bedford_R | After that battling display I hope the team aren't too knackered and/or injured for Saturday. That was some shift they all put in tonight. A boring 1-0 win at at walking pace would suit me fine.

Moses got down the wing in the first half against Millwall and delivered some good crosses but failed to do that in the second half. Against Hull and Boro he’s received possession out wide but has continued with his second half Millwall performance by driving inside into central midfield and providing very little width,he’s also looked poor defensively against albeit good players in Wallace ,Potter and Jones. Well done to Osman Kakay for his professional attitude shown after dropping to the bench and a very solid defensive display when called upon tonight. [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 23:08]

Boro Match Thread on 23:26 - Aug 18 with 1678 views | GloryHunter | Moses needs to have those silly fouls coached out of him. Same as Dickie last season, when he kept giving away penalties with his hand-on-the-shoulder tic.

Just remember how few games he has played over the past 2 years and how short a time he has been with us compared with most of the squad. He is quality, but will be inconsistent as he gets back up to speed and starts to gel with his team mates. He'll be fine and it seems to be helping Kakay try and improve his own game as well. Could ask more off Kakay tonight, came it at a difficult time, all the pressure on and opposition coming in waves. Put in a monster shift.

Odubajo played really well I thought. Great play through the middle for our equaliser I'm not sure I remember a right back we've had in donkeys years who can do that. He did a Dickie!

Can't wait for the highlights. Actually can't believe Austin has lashed out AGAIN though, really should know better and should be setting an example as a senior player.

Shaddup. He's had eight promotions (it's not happening again with Boro), loves the game, is excitable, we'll miss characters like this when he retires...which will be soon. [Post edited 19 Aug 2021 1:43]
