That was not off the cuff but premeditated in my view. The club should go for Sky and seek a full retraction of what they stirred up. The result is insignificant tonight compared to the inference that Sky levelled that QPR is a racist club. Amit and Lee need to stick the boot in big-time and quickly. If our club comes out fighting on this - really, really fighting, speaking about the systemic racism with the passion, frustration and anger that we have in the past - it could be huge for the fight to end racism in sport.

I get we are pissed off, and far be it of me to act like Mr Righteous after what I post, but is the opening comment necessary? I wouldn’t like my Partner or Mum to be described that way.
It's a gesture, but ISTM that other clubs are happy to do the gesture in lieu of actual action. Whereas I think we can mount a pretty decent argument that we actually back up the gestures with our diversity inside the club and as a fan base.
In an ideal world I'd like us to put out a statement reaffirming our anti-racism/diversity credentials and challenge every other club (and Sky) to state what they're ACTUALLY DOING to fight systemic racism in football.

To lose my paltry £35 per month subscription won’t hurt them much but that is me cancelling.
They made a big deal about us not taking the knee Brian at today's game and at last week's game against Forest. The implication was that we were somehow implying that we were not aligned with BLM. The pundit, Jobi McAnuff said how disappointed he was as if it showed we were a racist club.
It was the usual sloppy journalism with no balance about how we are unusual in the number of senior black coaches, DOF, BAME owners as well as players in our club. I would imagine Les will be steaming, given the number of interviews he has done about the lack of black people in football management.
I think the club should complain to Sky. The way this was presented was appalling.
If McAnuff has actually said we’re a racist club we should go after him for libel. You can’t go around saying that sort of thing unchecked these days. We must do more for racial equality than any other club. Meanwhile, CaptainB@llendW@nker takes the knee at a televised charity match. Says it all about taking the knee. The club has black & white coaches , black & white players People who work behind the scenes who are black and white Maybe just maybe everyone gets along and doesn’t see colour but sees a friend/ colleague which is what it’s about we have done as much as anyone to bring people together we don’t need to be involved in this latest premier league fashion parade of millionaire footballers behaving as if they are Tommie Smith in 1968

She didn't call the club racist and spoke after the game about all the good work QPR does.
It should be a choice if you do it or not. The England cricket team didn't do it recently, we haven't done it for a while and it's turning into an empty gesture with no action coming from it like standing outside clapping for the NHS whilst you are voting against a pay rise for them when it actually matters
Qpr have taken positive action rather than hollow, PR-driven gestures. We have more black coaches than the rest of the EFL put together. We have a black DOF, black academy director, we’ve given opportunities to black teenagers booted out of other academies. We have a diverse fan base. We have a best in class community department in a diverse part of London. We were front and centre of doing useful stuff for Grenfell while white powerful people were wiping their fcking lap tops.
Sorry if we don’t think your easily packaged and televised gesture should go on indefinitely, but when you’ve done as much as we have then you can come for us.

Warburton banged on about no guidance, that’s a fair point but was clearly being evasive and just looks shifty. Coventry made it clear they wanted to we said no. Clearly for some reason we aren’t taking a knee. In the next interview we have to be clear why not. Otherwise it’s just pointlessly shit PR for the club. Can’t expect everyone out there to know the inner workings of our football club.
And to be clear I’ve no issues with them not taking the knee, couldn’t be prouder of the leading role QPR have taken in the community across the board/number of black coaches etc. Just sort out the messaging and give a straight answer.

Les Ferdinand said it very well when he said that this isn't a football issue, it is a societal one. Don't expect footballers and people involved in it to come up with the answers.

You're right, it's not rocket science, it's harder than that.
No one has an answer for any of this. No form of measurment, no guidance from those elected and such a complex issue boiled down to a binary arguement means we will stuggle to make any progress.
All too jumpy up and down with little logic from the overwhelming majority.
