My pal rang me today to say he was going to purchase a pool table at some stage to put in a humongous shed he has in his garden - bizarrely, he actually built the shed in order to build a small aircraft, which he did and it took him 6 years, and he now flies.
Anyway, he is going to convert it into a man cave with a little bar and music and pool table etc.
So he wanted suggestions for suitable feel good tracks for a playlist to accompany said pool and drinking.
He is the same age as me (we were at school together) and is into his retro rock, so perhaps we can suggest some tracks to divert him away from his usual fare of Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Bad Company.

Ahh ok.
I misread the O/P.
I'll make some suggestions that aren't rock orientated.
Best looking band ever....
‘Where there is harmony, may we bring discord. Where there is truth, may we bring error. Where there is faith, may we bring doubt. And where there is hope, may we bring despair’
Doesn't really matter spell, we`ve all sort of digressed somewhat from the original post.
My thread`s original idea was for songs you would put on the jukebox on a summer`s night when you`re 18, meeting your pals for a game of pool at 7pm, then a night out on the tiles, and all is good with the world.
Basically short, rocky, good-time songs, then I will make a playlist for my pal for when we visit his den.
I know his playlist will be stuffed with Bad Company, Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy stuff - I could name them now - he`s been listening to that stuff since we were at school together. He is a creature of habit when it comes to music, not like us eclectic magpies on here...

Moriarty
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.
Some good stuff there spell, who would have thought we would have ended up with a suggestion in waltz time (partly) but you can`t beat a bit of gypsy Django. It`s becoming apparent that you are quite a sensual and rhythmic fella from your choices!
So here`s an old favourite you got me thinking about. A bit of gypsy, polka, punk.
Crikey, who`d have thought we would have ended up in 2/4 time...

More from my old drinking playlist....
And if you're 18 at a juke box in the pub, you also need.......
‘Where there is harmony, may we bring discord. Where there is truth, may we bring error. Where there is faith, may we bring doubt. And where there is hope, may we bring despair’

The most underrated British rock band of the 90's IMHO...
