You mentioned "numerous pubs".
Twickenham town centre is not very big, there aren't that many pubs. I reckon I visited or went past most of them. Didn't even see any police cars outside pubs.

I was at Twickenham yesterday and around the local bars until the early hours. I saw absolutely no trouble whatsoever.
I don't think I even saw a police officer all evening other than those on crowd control and traffic duty |
Apart from the insufferable smugness after the match it’s never been a place for trouble Twickenham. I’ve been twice to the match and I never saw any trouble. You always get a few arrogant tw*ts but in general it’s always been quite a nice experience . |  |

It is staggering. Lets face it, they sell alcohol during the match, people take it back to their seats. There'll be singing and shouting, touching and hugging....coughing and sneezing.
