I’ve just asked my mother-in-law and she said her mum used to use the word scurryfunge Am I going too far back? What a great word though. It means to tidy the house quickly when you see a neighbour approaching. I just wouldn’t answer the door personally [Post edited 3 Feb 2019 18:55]
