QPR supporter for next Prime Minister? 18:02 - Nov 15 with 19669 views | GloryHunter | Gove has been playing a canny long game. If I were a betting man I'd say he was worth a tenner at 10/1. (Actually Corbyn is favourite at 5/1, but surely if May was dumped by the Tories, they'd have to elect a new leader, who would become PM temporarily until Labour could form a coalition, or until a general election?) I think you're onto something here. Redknapp for Brexit Minister! Big Sam for Foreign Secretary!
QPR supporter for next Prime Minister? on 19:45 - Nov 17 with 2282 views | GloryHunter | Gove closing in now: Corbyn 5 Johnson 8 Javid 8 Gove 8 Davies 12 Rees-Mogg 12 Raab 12 And watch out for dark horse Emily Thornberry at 40/1. Again, this would seem to imply May hanging on for the full term till 2022, and Thornberry replacing Corbyn as Labour leader by then.
QPR supporter for next Prime Minister? on 19:50 - Nov 17 with 2279 views | derbyhoop | I can see Gove as next PM. My wife worked in the education sector when he was SoS for Education,. Ideology trampled all over common sense. He's a slippery, slimy slug of a man, with his only redeeming feature being the team he supports

The DATE when the next Prime Minister is elected is a different market. Some time in 2019 is favourite: 2019 11/8 2018 9/4 2020 or later 5/2 2022 or later 5/1 If you combine the two markets, it does look as though Corbyn forming a minority Labour government in 2019 is factored into the prices. Followed by Gove (or Johnson or Javid) taking over a minority Conservative government in 2019. But the odds are changing every day. [Post edited 17 Nov 2018 21:47]

Terrible odds for Raab and Johnson, neither of whom having a f*****g chance. Corbyn and Javid the runaway favourites for me if it is in the next 12 months.
QPR supporter for next Prime Minister? on 00:32 - Dec 5 with 1878 views | kensalriser | No odds for Hammond? Tories have a critical choice to make for next leader; do they cement the UKIP reverse takeover or do they try to reach towards the centre in an effort to restrict Labour encroachment (and perhaps a mini-revival from the Lib Dems as hinted in the last election)? For all its noise, the fundamentalist Tory hard-right is actually quite limited numerically.

Corbyn might not need to win an election to become next PM. If May's government fails to achieve a majority in parliament, the Queen would invite the leader of the opposition to try to form a coalition government.

So your saying the people who won’t vote for Corbyn because he’s pro Brexit will vote for the Tories (who are pro Brexit) instead?

I think he's sat on the fence over it so he's done little to get leave voters on his side and not really done enough to fight remains corner. Just a personal view I just don't think he'd win if we went to a General election, he did well in the last one against one of the worst campaigns I've ever seen but he still ended up losing.

QPR supporter for next Prime Minister? on 13:17 - Dec 5 with 1587 views | FDC | Regarding Labour leadership's 'constructive ambiguity' on Brexit, despite a lot of talking heads being frustrated by this, the data shows they've played a blinder, essentially holding together a coalition of young remainers and old leavers whilst the Tory's eat themselves. They just need to keep doing what they're doing imo. The "yes we'll do Brexit but we'll be nicer about it" might not stand up to much scrutiny, but it does cut through to the mostly disinterested majority. And, the reality is, the state of the country after Brexit will be determined largely by the decisions made by the government at that time. So, yeah - do and say what ever it takes to get in to government imo.

Thats a shame to hear that Dave, but unless you are voting Tory, Green, or UKIP the transfer of votes won't be in Conservatives favour. The Lib Dems are evenly spread throughout the country in both Labour and Tory marginals so votes for Lib Dems reduces seats for Tories as much as Labour.
