at least this way it doesn't come at the end of a 2 year cycle as a total surprise to our players and we actually have some good opposition to practice against in a semi-competetive enviroment. we might even get better. | |

I think it is a half decent idea, it will give us some games that have some meaning to them against decent opposition. It will certainly be slightly more interesting than international friendlies.
As mentioned already though, the worry is that the smaller nations don't get a chance to test themselves against the better ones, potentially limiting their ability to grow. | | | |
