No. The facts are we didn't sell them and we didn't get relegated.

Nope, read again. It was more than a viable option. You can polish the shit as much as you like. But yesterday more than proved that. viable (adjective) capable of working successfully; feasible. option (noun). a thing that is or may be chosen. Time for me to leave this one due to being over 12 years of age

Stay away from 'football manager' kids, it'll rot your brain. See evidence in OP. One pre season game against a leggy Sampdoria can't really be held as the justification for anything that could have happened 7 months ago, or will happen in the next 7 months This is not moving players around on a screen, this is real life, no need to thank me for the reminder

Sorry Chris, but that's bullshit. Nobody dislikes the turgid style of football Swansea have been playing since Monk more than me. But the simple fact is that managers like Pullis and Fat Sam haven't built their reputation on taking over teams in the shit mid-winter, and turning them around into expansive highly mobile attacking sides. And for good reason. Just look at Hull, who in my view were easily good value for Swansea's premier league slot based on the attractive attacking football they were playing in the spring. But they got carved apart a couple of times and crashed out of the division. Could Swansea have theoretically fared better with a similar approach? Of course! But the odds would have been heavily stacked against them. And that's a fact.

One part of that is true, but I have never made a secret of when I lost interest in the footballing side. And by the way when you refer to me as a troll, do you mean as in the person who gifted the Trust a viable legal strategy after they had spunked tens of thousands of pounds on legal fees and got precisely nowhere? Bullshit?? You want to go down that route do you? Pullis and Fat Sam can do what they know best and yeah they get success from it. It's not the only way to skin a cat as was proved yesterday. We made good, footballing changes in January which meant we were moving away from the 2 tvvats you mentioned and going back to a tried and trusted formula for success, at least for this club the last 10 seasons. Had we got upwards of £30m for those two in January we would have had a great chance to go back to our old school way of playing. A striker, Batshuawi was strongly linked, and could easily have happened, and a midfield player with a bit of pace and a good touch would have done us well. We saw yesterday we weren't a million miles away from that very scenario. That was just one change to a squad of 18, the rest were all here since January. It was a viable option, it's as simple as that mate.

''do you mean as in the person who gifted the Trust a viable legal strategy'' Thank God for Shaky, a legal case that a 6 year old would be able to tell was as strong as can be in a situation like this would never have been able to have been pointed out otherwise. We can agree it would have been an option, but it is not serious to claim it would have been anything other than a very high risk one. Anyway, sat next to a Derby fan on a fight a couple of months ago and he was absolutely scathing about Clement. It will certainly be interesting to see how he performs now that he has had a chance to shape the team.

We were already drinking in the last chance saloon, anything we did involved risk. You mention odd's and them increasing. Yeah, they would've to Coral or Ladbrokes and especially to the benign match of the day pundits, but I like the odd bet at good value based on outsmarting the oddsmakers or the situation and for me, those two were holding us back and had been all season. Yesterday was just a friendly against a half decent side but it gave us a glimpse of what could be for us this season. I've staked a reputation on this scenario and am happy to take the consequences of any usual suspect. I see some nobody with Kaas in his name above is talking about hindsight. How can it be? I made the call before January and am more than hopeful, even confident, we'll see a new Swansea this season without the two in question. No hindsight whatsoever, just an understanding of the game and my football club. I will only want the best for SCFC, nothing else. I'm far more confident for the coming season than I was the last.

it is not a matter of going "na-na-nana-na". It is a question of shutting up this individual's misplaced attacks on me once and for all. An individual who despite an increasingly well-documented ignorance, I find hard to believe is so oblivious to my role in formulating the Trust's strategy; he's got to be the only one left spouting those tired old lies. Yes he's stupid, but surly not that stupid. But if you intend to troll me further on some other subject in future, kindly for your own sake try to learn how to string a sentence together first. Thanks so much.

And while we are on the subject, I assume your continuing attacks on me occur with the full blessing of Phil. An individual who through intermediaries not a million miles away from this post offered to pay me commercial rates to get the Trust out of the shit. But when I did it on the understanding it was all free couldn't even thank me, and instead continued to peddle the old google bullshit. Real classy you boys are.

Do you know the meaning of attack? I didn't even really know who you were until you started with your playground jibes out of the blue on sunny day a few weeks back. Anyone who converses with me in the manner you have, and anyone who presents themselves on here like you have - will not have an easy ride when it comes to me I assure you. Everytime you slip up I will be there to point it out, every time you say something foolish, I will be there to point it out, everytime you contradict yourself.... you get the picture. The amount of times I have done the above - to the point you have had to ask Chris to tell me to stop is indicative of your stupidity and faux self appointed stature on here because The Trust (a group of volunteer amateurs) patted you on the head. If you don't want to be ridiculed then try acting like a normal human would be my advice Shakes. [Post edited 6 Aug 2017 15:59]
