Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Well, Laudrup was sacked by email so Jenkins has form for this kind of stuff (if true).

We have to move on. Alan has had a wonderful career, a man who I admire and respect greatly. He will never go short, has been very well paid and no matter what job he does in the club he will always pay his gas bill.
Lovely position to be in, for life at Swansea - be it on the door or on the road. Or just being Alan.
Either way, may I suggest a testimonial ?

One of the first if not the first game down the Liberty was a testimonial for Curt. Think it was v Fulham.

Some posters do not see an isssue with the club sending AC a text. Unbelievable!

That's if the reports are true of course.

So we're still on this?

What is wrong with the club sending AC a text? I assume you realise he wasn't sacked by text.

While we're at it what is wrong with the new manager choosing his staff?

Fine a new manager bringing in his own people.

The new manager obviously can do as he likes and like all managers results will eventually determine whether he will be a success or not .
Curt could possibly be a 'football adviser' to the club hierarchy.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

He's in effect having his job role changed.

Coach first team one day, doing the school run next. Like a site foreman being told he's labouring the next day. At least have the chat first! Basic human nature!

Was it Fulham? I've got the program somewhere - Darren Pratley played for them I think but I can't remember if that was the Curt game? I think we played Blackburn too so maybe it was that one. Shefki Kuqi played for B'burn in that one and looked half tidy.

That’s exactly it. If my boss decided that I would have to move to another role within the company, he’d speak to me about it, not txt or email me. Who in the right mind thinks that sending an email/txt is a decent or correct way to treat ANY employee?

Nothing wrong with Clement wanting to appoint his own coaching staff. I fully support this. However, if Curtis was notified via text then it is disrespectful. It should have been done face to face or the very least a phone call.

Jenkins is a coward as far as I'm concerned. Bloke should be run out of town (not just for this obviously).

He won't be though because not enough people care.

He was notified by HJ that Clement didn't want him in training the next day and not part of his coaching staff going forward. We'll know by tomorrow/Saturday if Curt is to stay with the club in another role or not.

How he was told is totally out of order and disrespectful in my opinion. Either Huw should have done it in person or Clement had the chat himself.

There's no issue with Clements decision not to keep him on (although in my view wrong), it's the way it was communicated.

As others have said here, how would you feel if one day you were covering a position above yours and then the next day you're informed via text that you don't even have your old job to go back too. Shocking!

So how do we know the text was the first he knew of this? Maybe Curt wanted to know if he was needed at training and asked to be notified by text.

As I said in my other post, it depends on the details. If you said "I expect you won't be needing me tomorrow, so I'll put my feet up. Give me a text to let me know if you need me".

I know for a fact the text was the first he knew of this! Take it or leave it I'm sure it'll come out at some point but that's what happened.

There's no smoke without fire as they say and there's enough people that know that's exactly what happened! Is it really that surprising to believe considering the care our board has shown and demonstrated in recent months and years.

I've followed the club for a long time and certainly do not have a short memory as to where we were 10+ years ago and who put their hand in the pocket to save us etc.
But it's gone full circle now with who's 'lining their pockets' without the consideration of the repurcussions for the club and this recent action towards AC epitomises what we've become.
