Must have been a few Wednesday fans in the main stand, two sat next to us try to look discreet until they scored. Wasn't best pleased with one punching the air, shouting and clapping etc Stewards had a word but didn't kick them out. It was great shouting support for Rochdale at them when we scored our cracker of a goal and then sending off. But they had the last laugh I suppose. Felt a bit like the old days when fans were not seperated at Dale.

I agree that the atmosphere in the main stand was a bit better today, but it was still somewhat tepid. There are three of us sitting together just left of halfway towards the Sandy, who try to get things going and chant in unison with the Sandy, but without any cooperation. It really does seem to be a waste of time and it is somewhat frustrating.
One other thing whilst I am here - why don't the Sandy and the Pearl Street chant in unison, instead of taking it in turns? I am sure it would be more effective if they were together rather than apparently being in competition with each other.

Not everyone who goes to a football match wants to sing. Did that ever occur to you?

I didn't say anything about singing. In fact, I object to some of the language and sentiments expressed in some of the songs. I am talking about shouting support for our team.

I sit I the main stand nr the tds stand and I join in the singing even though it's just me singing but I don't care. I have noticed that just lately there are some that have been singing in the main stand behind me. I love to sing along at the match even though not many will sing in the main stand. jus the odd few

I can't be arsed singing to be honest. But I'm not silent and offer encouragement. I will join in when engulfed with he odd chant if it whips round my area of residence but its rare..very rare in the main stand. From my experience they have have never..ever sung songs in the 20 years of me supporting the Dale in the main stand. Maybe the odd dayyull dayull when we have a crowd over 6000. It did piss me off when a fan was chastising the fans around them today in block G for not joining in his chants. But its a free country. Reminded me of the wembley visit when those that wanted to sing had no way of grouping of with fellow chanters and took frustrations out on fellow Dale supporters.

What a disgrace to the human race he is.
Both him and Tango, how can you let your body get in that state?
Is Sheffield full of kebab shops or something?
Just a quick reply to a couple of posts on here.
Tango is from Wolverhampton not Sheffield.
At Burnley last Saturday, a Wednesday fan was stabbed in the leg and the rumour was that Tango was the victim. I do not know any facts beyond the Burnley newspaper reporting the stabbing and our forum website suggesting Tango was the one stabbed. This may however be the reason why Tango was on crutches today.

If you sit in Pearl Street how do you know if the offsides you mention elsewhere were offside or not?
Am I blinded because I sit in the pearl street or something?? Or do you have to be sat behind the linesman to call an offside?? you do realise that as humans we do have the gift of sight right? So we can see if another person is standing behind another before a ball is kicked......

Have you thought of lending your sight to NASA?

The sooner we take over the Willbuts the better. Reasons 1. Excellent view no stantions. 2. Good acoustics. 3. Bar underneath .4. Chip shop across the road. Its a no brainer but it aint happening. Also heard that we are looking at moving to kingsway again this came from an excellent source also stated that with Rochdale Crem being nearly full Spotland would be the ideal extension.

Hard to sing in unison due to the 'slow' speed of sound!
By the time sandy hear a chant from the pearl st, the pearl st will be onto the next line

Couldn't agree more about switching the away end to the Pearl Street. The Sandy and the Wilbutts could then sing together. The Main Stand is the Main Stand...nuff said and fair do's.
I was in the Sandy yesterday and thought we were quite loud. We couldn't really here the Pearl Street - probably cos we were making noise when they were - but main Standers, who is the loudest?
