Saints have had their injury issues over the past 3 months, but the good news of late has been the return of several key players, Bournemouth however have injury issues of their own.
Saints look likely to be missing Danny Ings and Theo Walcott for the trip across the New Forest on Saturday to face the Cherries, but on the plus side the return of the likes of Kyle Walker Peters and Ibrahima Diallo has come just at the right time.
Bournemouth though will be without 5 key players for the game, right back Adam Smith has been a virtual ever present, but he has a damaged ankle and is likely to be out for at least a month.
The Cherries will also be without David Brooks who has been a key player and Lewis Cook like Smith has only missed a handful of games this season but will miss the cup tie against Saints.
Jefferson Lerma (suspended) is another than has barely missed a game, but will be absent from this one as he is suspended then of course Shane Long who is cup-tied having featured for Saints in this years competition before moving West on loan.
The other worry for Woodgate is that now having dropped to 5 points off the final play off spot, his side host Swansea on Tuesday evening at the Vitality Stadium in a game that could see that gap widen should they lose to Swansea who if they win will go into the automatic promotion places.
But a big worry will be picking up any more injuries in a game where Bournemouth have to win or risk being overtaken and left at the back of the pack if they lose.
