Totally agree. For the most part Ralph has been a breath of fresh air for the club. Always going to be a long term project when we have to develop young players into what is needed. We clearly cannot compete financially with some other clubs so we have no other option really. Bit concerning that all the younger teams seem that be getting beaten heavily and am surprised that no one at the press briefings has questioned how the 'playbook' is progressing. Ralph seemed to suggest yesterday that some players development has stagnated. Overall though most of the squad are better players now than when he came to the club. I still have faith in Ralph however disappointed I was after Sunday,and football is littered with knee jerk reactions and decisions which invariably don't work out. |

Gutted and definitely felt like a loss. However we played very well.. It was like Ralph thought, bollocks has enough of tinkering around and trying to be clever to get a tune out of what he has available. He went back to what got him the job, high pressing, 442 or 4222. Hopefully this is a turning point.. Stick with it and see where it takes us, at very least it is more positive and the playing style will get the fans onside.. The players also feel less pressure playing away from home and we need to help change that at St Mary's. No player ever plays better if you boo him, it is so counterproductive and that was so evident yesterday watching the Arsenal players body language. Next 2 games are so vital 4 points bare minimum. |

Yep.. Really need that Win at home... Think this season we may have more luck on the road than at home where we lack that creativity in midfield to break down teams who sit back against us... We are very much a work in progress and although some of us have struggled to understand some of Ralph's team selections lately, I have complete faith in him as he has had a lot of negativity to turn around in 10 months.. He is looking at the big picture and anyone who is not 100% switched on at all times he doesn't pick.. A year ago this type of manager would have been music to our ears so if he doesn't get it right all the time, so what, I am sure we can all forgive that as I think we are lucky to have him... We need to get behind the guys, especially at home because if we are being honest, we have not always got behind the team at times over past 3 seasons... |

Am a fan of Jack Stephens, but does tend to get a bit bullied at times.... Maybe he would do a good job as a defensive midfielder... He is good on the ball and would provide competition for Romeu who was poor last season.... |
