Like Robbie said SA or the Aussies are going to be difficult to beat they are always going to post big scores. But between the 2 I'm not convinced South Africa have as good an attack as the Aussies so it's the convicts for me. New Zealand would be my next especially if McCullum is on form and with them having home advantage. Then anything from India, us, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. I can't see the sub-continent teams having as much success down under as they would at home. Also the West Indies don't have good enough bowlers for me. We may surprise and struggle through to the semis but I think that's about as far as we will get, and probably deserve to get. All in all looking forward to what will be an excellent tournament. |

A few years ago KP was trying his hardest to get out of playing one day cricket for England so he could go off to the IPL. Now he wants to play it? IF he had played a full season for Surrey last time around, playing as many one day and 4 day games as possible then I think he would have had a fair shout regardless of his book. He didn't and then he decided to undermine fellow players, coaches and management in his autobiography. |

Did you see the KP commentary on the Big Bash earlier? It's a must watch, I'm sure Sky will have replays on their website. It's a fantastic tournament by the way and the coverage is excellent. Trotty has played himself back into the test side but I think he will have to open because I can't see them moving anyone else apart from Robson. I think Michael Clarke has one last chance with his fitness before he just decides to call it a day. It's noticeable that he did a fair bit of commentary during the India series and it seems that he is being groomed to fit right in when the time comes. I think he'll be lucky to get to the Ashes. Not sure whether Johnson has any specific injury but he had a relatively poor series against the Indians. He can only bowl now in very short spells presumably because of his fitness, and if you can see off those bursts and keep him quiet, you have the beating of him because he can't bowl 15-20 overs in a day. |

Enjoyed first season of Broadchurch - only just finished watching it last week and was pleasantly surprised. However the first two episodes of this new series have been pretty average. Last nights episode was especially bad. Hopefully just a one off. |

Oriol twins, Mendy and Zenjov all available for loan and 7 (seven) trialists training with us. One is that O'Day fella that's already been mentioned. All in today's Gazette. [Post edited 13 Nov 2014 8:47]

Robbie has it spot on, it is rather disappointing and nothing we don't already know. Although the McGahey part is interesting. Bit of a let down for BST who had to travel to London for what they thought would be a massive coup with a few exclusives, but ended up getting the watered down version like the rest of them give. One thing is for certain, Karly boy does seem to tie them up well with his contracts. |

And so it begins.... Decent loans coming in without any apparent hassle for Lee Clark. I think Karly boy is trying to prove a point. |

I can't be objective about this because I just don't like the guy. I think even at his prime he was nowhere near as good as he thought he was as a footballer, now he's just stealing a wage, why do you think Utd got rid of him? He also has a rap sheet as long as my arm for all his misdemeanors over the years. The guy is a twunt, I'm sorry, and when I heard about his fine and ban I did have a little smile to myself.... Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. |

Aussies getting a right spanking. 190/6 This could be over by tomorrow. |

It's not the first time we've heard of Oyston changing deals at the last minute though is it? Getting people agreed on a deal, having them travel etc. and then moving the goalposts at the last minute is pretty sly really. We missed out on Hunt because of this, which is not a massive loss I suppose, but who else have we missed out in the past because of this? Did something similar happen with Charlie Austin? |

Totally agree Robbie about Younus. Also that Pakistan team are certainly ones to watch, some very good young cricketers there. Also great to see Mitchell Johnson flogging his arris off on a flat track. His body doesn't like bowling too many overs and with a lot of cricket ahead for the Aussies they're going to have to be careful with him. |
