Apparently we gave EDB a new contract in the summer which I found a bit baffling. He's neat and busy but doesn't really achieve much. Bit like Faisal Bettache who incidentally played last season in the US third league (look away non-stattos) and scored 7 goals and two assists in 17 matches.
This season he's got two assists in 15 in the US 2nd Division. Both much lower than the Champ but glad to see he's making a bit of a mark.
Yeah one of the Luton fan vlogs had a go at him about that.
I'm with Clive about the ball boys thing. Annoying as hell when it happens to you but it is pretty harmless in the great scheme of things, always entertains home fans and definitely doesn't justify players kicking out at them.
I bet he could at the right price but he's probably wanting Premiership wages. I'm not as big a fan as others. I think he did a decent job for us and maybe stood out compared to other loanees like Hendricks. But I personally prefer Varanne and would rather spend precious funds on a leftback or a younger player with potential.
Wasn't that Wsolek he wanted to take off? It was particularly tone deaf for a manager with a less than cordial relationship with the fans as he'd been great that day. I can't remember a time when a sub announcement was met with such hosttility by the crowd. I was in the Paddocks that day and he just panicked for a moment in horror and then started waving his arms about saying 'no, not Pav' pretending an error had been made. But we all knew. Definitely signalled the final straw with a fanbase that never really warmed to him.
The player I'm a bit worried about getting injuries from overplaying is Smyth. Just because we've got no-one who has his pace and he puts so much work in every match.
Anything crazy could still happen. We had 21 points after 26 matches last season and Sheff Wed 22 points. Birmingham had 28 and Huddersfield 25. Cardiff, Hull and Portsmouth all have two more points than we did.
They're expecting to have Doughty back for this match plus a new signing from a Swedish club - a 20 yr old midfielder called Fanne and Liam Walsh who's just served a four match suspension after getting a second red card in five matches ( Jack Colback's long lost twin?).
Lots of rumblings about Edwards from their fans: playing the wrong formation, playing people out of position etc. Just signed a long contract in the summer though so expensive to replace.
Especially as they have lost their last nine away matches - the longest losing streak in the top four tiers ( courtesy BBC Sport).. Of course that's the time to meet Charity Park Rangers...
Apparently now playing in the UAE in the same team as Joel Lynch, who remarkably is only four years older than Steve Cook. Handy for Joel's annual Christmas break.
I doubt it. His interview suggested he was only here to get game time. With Southampton nailed on for relegation he's probably hoping to be part of their promotion push next season.
