There’s an interesting article on Norrington-Davies in todays” Guardian “. His time at Rochdale only gets mentioned in passing but he’s obviously a very well travelled guy.

Steve Bull

My son mentioned to me he'd been watching some old England games on the TV and Steve Bull had featured. I told him I'd seen Steve Bull playing at Spotland for Wolves in the old Fourth Division. I'm pretty sure he scored as well.

Anybody else remember that ?

Incident at the top of Yorkshire St.

As I was walking into town the Police were taping off one of the shops at the top of Yorkshire St. 4 Police cars and an ambulance were in attendance. As I got further down there were 3 large Police vans and 2 more cars blocking in a Mercedes by the corner of United Carpets. I didn't know we had so many Police vehicles !

Dippy The Dinosaur

I called in to the Riverside this lunch time to speak to my wife who's a guide at the Dippy exhibition. The place was chock a bloc with kids, parents and grandparents, It has obviously brought people into the town from all over the place. My wife was talking to a family who'd come from Northern Ireland to see Dippy !

The gift shop was really busy as was the cafeteria.

My step son works in the Regal Moon part time and he was telling me that the Regal has been more full than normal since the exhibition opened.

Well done to the Council for bringing Dippy to Rochdale.

O'Connell to Spurs ?

According to my paper this morning Spurs are considering a transfer bid for Jack O'Connell. The lad's done really well for himself since his time with the Dale.

Heading The Ball

It's just been on the news that school children in Scotland under the age of 12 will be banned from heading the ball in training but not in actual games. Is this the start of heading the ball becoming outlawed ? What would the game look like without heading ?
