I think we will do well against clubs placed 8th-24th. I feel we are a long way off from challenging the Top 6-8 and there is every chance we could get a thrashing against some of the stronger teams at the top.
One has to question the planning and recruitment. Why is the squad so thin? and why don't we have options in terms of strikers?
I once spoke to a Swans player and he was amazed and shocked around all the anti-english chants amongst Swans fans. As he pointed out - that season we had 15 english born players in our squad whose families often attended games.
I hope Coleman provides an "update" after the Stoke game as we head into another international window. It would be good to know what his thoughts are so far on the season.
And hopefully, he, the club and trust will announce a date for the fans forum and make it accessible via zoom for those who cannot be there in person.
He knew what he was walking into when he took the job. I assume he and his agent did the due dilligence. And I would hope Luke would have spoken to Potter/Cooper/Martin and Duff about how the club operates.
perhaps someone can collate the best questions on this thread and then take it to the chairman in one of those one-to-one sessions he does with the fans?
source please? and you listened to the Trust fans forum with Mr Levien and Mr Kaplan where the former claimed that he was instructed not to engage with the Trust. It's on YouTube.
Has Coleman outlined in any of his programme notes what is expected of Luke and the team this season. Promotion? Play-offs? Top 8 / top 10? It would be good to know.
This has been rumbling on for about 30 years. Of the four welsh clubs - one has shown they are more than capable of getting into Europe via the League Cup. What great memories 2013 gave us. I don't think we realised how lucky we were at the time.
Birch was an excellent appointment at the time. He worked well with Cooper. There was a clear strategy - using England U17 world cup winners on loan deals and it delivered two play-offs - under tricky circumstances with the pandemic.
And when Jenkins remained up until 2019 some good decisions were made. ie Jenkins pulling the Dan James to Leeds deal.
We need a Birch/Jenkins type person running the club day to day. How much football league experience do Ken, Andy and Watson have combined?
