No I meant the etymology, the history of the word. It has pretty much exclusively only been used for those areas used to segregate Jewish people from the general population for hundreds and hundreds of years. It also became popular in the US during the civil rights movement as a buzzword for the plight of those in the inner cities.
But ghetto generally speaking has always been intrinsically linked to the Jewish folks. |

Imagine a completely hypothetical scenario where a nefarious donor type offers the use of a luxury apartment to an MP completely for free. That apartment is bugged or has covert cameras which records sensitive information or perhaps the said MP getting up to sexy shenanigans with his or her mistress/fancyman.
That MP would then be completely compromised and danced around like a simple marionette.
This is of course a made up scenario and sounds a bit extreme but I would bet a lot of money it has happened, it is happening and it happens more than you think. |

After weeks of rumours around conflict between Number 10, Sue Gray and the head of the civil service Simon Case the latter has today dropped the bombshell that he has to step down immediately due to a long standing health issue.
If I were the cynical type I’d suggest that the timing is more than a bit bloody convenient but fortunately I’m not so I wish him well with his recovery and hope he can move on to a new and exciting chapter. |

To put it into context the population of China and India combined is not far off 4 billion. Ours is around 65 million. Even if we went back to Stone Age living today the effect on global air quality would be the equivalent of a bloke holding in a fart in the Grand Canyon. |

We could have a hundred MP’s or we could have 1. It matters not. “Our Voice” will still be at the same decibel level, zero. If anybody actually still believes that any sort of tangible change can be achieved through the ballot box in 2024 they are utterly deluded. |

How do we stop it when all the major parties and politicians are fully signed up to it and think anyone who objects is a far right racist gammon or words to that effect? |
