Joe Bunney at left back was a square peg. That worked out well! Totally agree about transfer window signings however I do recall a lot of questioning of the signing of Keith Keane on loan as he was not getting in a league 2 side. Again this largely payed off. In my opinion Hilly has tried to be creative with the limited means he has, granted it hasnt always paid off, but we shouldn't forget about the times when it does. |

Both played well. Bunny's cross for the winner was a peach. First 3 points of the season. End of. |

Are we to assume you are expecting loanees from league one sides or above who are getting first team football? Why would any team loan out a player they need or want? |

Has the overcomplicated system changed much over the past two seasons? Two of the most successful season in the club's history? We've got 2 points out of 15 so far, and whilst I haven't been present the results have been marginal. For the last two seasons, as good as they have been for us, we have had these poor runs. Difference this time is we aren't in sight of promotion or a play off. This is perhaps where the lack of confidence or 'fear' as you rightly put it comes from. |

This was the first match i've made it to this season. It was so noticeable how little confidence there was amongst the team. Passing was shocking, communication wasn't great and there didn't seem to be any leaders out there. Certain players heads dropped after we conceded and they weren't able to lift them back up. Donal being the most obvious example. I think Hilly's biggest issue isn't in the quality he has, as the starting 11 hasn't changed that much since last year, nor is it his tactics. It is all about confidence. We need to do our bit by getting behind him and the team. |
