Nail meets head, supply and demand. They know people will still pay, same with petrol to give one example. I don't give much credence to grass roots improving much to be honest, I seem to remember that being the mantra the last time the contract came up. Has grass roots improved, got my doubts on that one given my limited experience. [Post edited 11 Feb 2015 16:46]

I am a sufferer, but no expert. I can only speak and advise from my own perspective. For the record I have never driven after I have had a drink, and anyone who does should be as answerable to the law as anyone else. When it's really bad, I have had a couple to "take the edge off" but never to what many people would call excess. It's interesting to read here that some think it's a result of modern society, in part I'd agree. The atmosphere where I work is pretty toxic most of the time and acts as fuel for the fire of how I feel. It's really not as easy as "getting another job". The condition has made me mentally and physically lethargic. I have also come to the point where going out anywhere can cause anxiety. It is a difficult thing to explain, even to myself, and I cannot think of any one event that triggered it. There have been times when taking "that" step has crossed my mind, but I guess I'm in enough control to realise how selfish that would be, and how much it would hurt the people who care for me. The autobiographies of Robert Enke and Marcus Trescothick give insight into how the condition effects sportsmen. I have Clarke's book but have not read it yet. |

Heinz definately the best beans. I think the chippy near me gets those big Happy Shopper catering cans though as the sauce is very thin and tastes like engine oil. |

I love how The Sun, that last bastion of morality is getting it's knickers in a twist. Should he carry on with his career? Yes, I'd just rather it was somewhere else to be perfectly honest. |

Old style floodlights. Getting back on the coach at away matches in time for James Alexander Gordon reading the results. |

I know what you mean Kirky, good on yer for going for it and doing something you want to do. I wish I knew what i wanted mate to be honest. I do a bit of buying and selling in my spare time but the margins are so tight and it's so cut-throat. Thanks to all the programmes on TV everybody thinks buying and selling Antiques is a piece of pi55, it really isn't. I've always seen it as a hobby that makes a bit of money but the passion is starting to fade. |

What were the designers at BMW thinking when they came up with the 1 Series? I reckon it was something like "Look guys, the 3 Series isn't soulless enough, let's take a 10lb lump hammer to this bread van and stick a 1 Series badge on the result". |
| Forum Reply | How are our former players doing? at 02:04 12 Aug 2014
Didn't go but I'm told City played well, Basham & Harris were poor & McGahey struggled a bit but will benefit from having more experience alongside him than he did Saturday. |

Tough one, we used to have 20p mix ups, mine was mainly Bazooka Joes, Fruit Salads & Blackjacks. But a quarter of Rhubarb & Custard balls would be nice. I also used to like those Traffic Light lollies that changed colour when you sucked them |

I'll go for four. At the natural rate of regression they are taking they'll be offering me the job by the end of the season |
