Many fans will pick and choose their away games especially for close proximity purposes. After Coventry the nearest games on Saturdays are Oxford in November and Portsmouth on NYD. Following the team away is not a cheap option anymore and unless they are at the top and challenging for promotion the interest is only there for those that enjoy the day our=t regardless of the 95 minutes mid afternoon.
Whatever the form sides have before and after derby games goes out of the window for that particular game. I am sure that LW and others will be putting their point across to our warriors about this game on Sunday and they will not be over confident. We are good enough to win this one easily even though Chopra is in the away end.
Very negative performance from us especially with Grimes playing at the back. Very slow and ponderous moving forward. So many passes going astray. Much better second half with the introduction of Ronald and the new boy who never had much of the ball. One shot on target? Their goalie would have had frostbite on a winters day. Still a dubious penalty won the day for them....onwards and upwards and forwards not backwards please
So there are more televised games which means that more fans that always go to games will think twice and stay home especially if its cold, wet, damp and dark in the winter months. Like the 3pm kick off away at Burnley on a Sunday...its a long way on a Saturday with a Sunday to recover....that will put fans off travelling less backing for the players....money wins sod the fans...
Were we actually going for Mcburnie or was it just social media speculation. In the past when players and managers have returned to our club they have not generally been the success that they were the first time.
good point that..reduce the price of tickets and sponsor coach prices so that supporters that want to travel can pay less. So that is a drain on the clubs finances for a couple of hundred fans that would travel up on a coach. Most fans travelling to Middlesborough would probably fly or drive and stay oop north for a couple of days. There wont be a record breaking contingent crowd of Swans fans up there for a 12.30ko and its live on sky.
Thanks for your constant updates Keith. I have learnt over the years with all the transfer speculation and players at Rossis waiting for their agents to turn up before the signings that the players are not ours until they are actually shown in the club shirt or holding the scarf aloft..
Nice early start for those travelling up on the day of the game but at least it will still be light by the time they return to Swansea. In recent times we havent travelled up to Borough in numbers and cant see it happening now especially as it is televised.
