Hopefully he sees this as a long(ish) term project, that will not only increase his stock holding, but will enable us to build a system around the young players that have been shining so brightly for him. he's an intelligent, effective strategist - I'm sure he won't be swayed by the idea of a quick fit pay packet. Hopefully.......
Which is my biggest concern - losing Marti would be a stake to the heart. The job he's done will not go unnoticed - but also the injection of youth and the squad rotation is nothing short of remarkable. The excitement for each game now is unreal.
Quite bizarre tonight - I thought the introduction of Lloyd and Saito changed the game - but the introduction of Madsen and Ashby had the reverse effect. We lost control at that point - personally, I'd have rather seen Colback on for the kid Morgan, rather than Ashby or Madsen to shore things up a bit. The last ten minutes were unnecessarily scary...
Trying to remember the name of that poster last season that used to stick the thread up based on survival - was really informative based on stats etc....?? Anyway, for what its worth I'm really surprised that most people have portsmouth out of the running for relegation... still think they are deep in it. My guess is that Plymouth, Derby and either Portsmouth or Cardiff will go down....
What a player. Will also only get better. Takes us ten metres up the pitch - was noticeable today that when he was showing signs of tiring, we sat a little deeper. Improve his stamina and he will he a very valuable asset for us...
Who's to say its not a loan with a view to signing? Alternatively we could just watch Fox play in that position until he leaves at the end of his contract.....
Perfect example of the cult of personality appointment. Not sure why anyone would entrust your club with him - amazing player but abject failure of a manager. I wonder whether they will re-appoint Schumacher? He's available and was the driving force behind their return to the Championship - not sure if he totally sullied his reputation there, but he knows the club, and essentially the parameters involved at their level. Would be bad news for all the struggling lower teams if he returns, in my opinion...
